What are the conditions up to the jump at the red stream? Is that "harder" section already icy? Asking because going to Šplevta only with ice axe (no crampons), wouldn't risk snow over that wall.

Well thanks. I don't know exactly where the path goes but it looks mostly dry to me. From Stanič towards Kot down probably not walkable without gear. To high Vrbanova along the ridge there's already snow. I'll probably go this weekend to check up to the lower one.

Maybe someone knows if there's any snow patch on the path that would require winter gear?

Could someone maybe at least roughly describe access from Planika via 'easier route' (mentioned in link above) and compare difficulty with e.g. Dovški križ or Kukova špica

Maybe someone knows if on path from Krma to Planika can refill water somewhere. At what altitude (or after how much time)?

Length is about 1h - 1h 15min easy walking. Parking possible if there's space; parking fee I think 2€ per hour although I'm not sure. From Mojstrana via Triglavska Bistrica path good 2h to Vrata.

So yes snowfield is passable without gear and special experience. Didn't go further but judging by number of Czechs, none of whom returned it's passable. Also over Prag saw lots of people, so should be fine. And yes, needed approx 1h 20 min.

I'll photograph probably already tomorrow.

One more question and already thanks for the answer. How much to the mentioned snowfield on Tominškova? Usually I walk 2/3 of the written time. Planning to go check on Sunday to see if crossing is possible. If I remember right it's around 2h.
