29.5.202 St. Juraj
On a beautiful sunny morning we drive to the cemetery - Pag town. Here we park, where the road to the ridge begins (north above the town). On the ridge there are four windmills and a transmitter. The road is initially macadam; when the slope begins, it is concrete to the top.
In 45 min (slow walking) we are on the ridge. Bora pulls strongly and we don't stay long.
Following blue markers we continue along the ridge towards the west. The path is quite demanding due to stones; you must watch every step. We climb to the highest peak 205m (St. Juraj), where there are remains of an object and ancient history. We continue to the observation post overlooking Paška vrata, towards Slana bay and Malin beach.
The view enchants us!!
The path continues to the end of the cape - lighthouse; we decide for descent.
We descend our own way to the road which brings us back to Pag town (for a beer).
walked 9km in 3 hours and 30 min

10.3.2023 Renke
In a foggy morning at +4C we park by the main road in Renke. We start on the path leading to Ostrež which is marked. But we don't turn right but continue on the road to Konjšica. The higher we are, the more sun. From afar we spot the northern ridge up which we intend to climb to Kumat. We walk on asphalt until we reach the place where the ridge drops to the road. A steep ascent into the slope follows and soon we are in the rock. Steep. Difficulty does not exceed I.
We reach the top of Kumat and continue on the nice ridge. No more snow. Then the ridge starts to descend and we reach a nicely arranged path. It leads us back under the ridge and above the ruins below us which remind us of a quarry. Then down the ridge towards the village Konjšica. In between a viewpoint with logbook and nice view of the village - unmarked!!!
Here we take time for snack and sit in the sun. Meanwhile we catch some ticks!!
We descend to the village and on the asphalted road towards Ostrež. Below Ostrež we turn towards the ridge leading to the chapel of St. Catherine. Here a storm catches us lasting approx. 20min. We reach the marked path leading to Ostrež and continue on it. At the chapel we rest a couple minutes and continue to the ridge. Sun peeks from behind clouds; only SW is quite strong on the summit ridge. Path leads us above sheer walls descending towards the Sava gorge, Renke. Nice views.
Walked approx. 7 hours. No more snow. Of which the marked Ostrež ridge and path back to Renke. The rest unmarked.

Stanp, this waterfall is completely outside marked paths. I descended through quite demanding off-trail areas and in between used parts of forest paths. As much as I noticed that somewhere it would go directly down, I tried. Mostly it was quite strenuous, very steep. Sometimes it was also necessary to turn back. The hardest for me was finding a descent from the sheer cliffs to which a barely visible path led me. It was trodden by rare visitors and connoisseurs of this terrain (viewpoint). Forest roads kept me more at the same height and walking on them I did not lose any notable elevation. But along the way I discovered many new things. What surprised me the most was the viewpoint on Repeljska dolina. It is right by the road, if you are not paying attention you can pass by and not notice it at all.

Jovan, you're right! I noticed when I crossed Krnes that it wouldn't work out (time-wise). Also at the end of the path, when I had walked almost 24km, it showed strongly in my lower limbs. And my wife and I were invited to RD at 18:00, I got home a bit after 16:00 (without stopping for beer on the way home).velik nasmeh
At 7 in the morning I parked by the bridge when driving into Rastke. I left the car here because I planned the descent from Stari stanovi (Golte). How I would descend the last part to Rastke was still a puzzle?
Everything up to Komna went without any noteworthy problems. When I crossed Krnes summit I started thinking differently. In a moment I decided and descended to the hunting hut. How I would get into the valley I didn't know at all? No markings so I relied on feeling. A couple of times I turned back because I came above sheer walls and couldn't go down. I found a nice passage and crossed a steep gully. Then down by feeling. It went quite OK and I didn't get into bigger troubles. Snow patches melted quickly due to the steepness. When I reached the road to Smrekovec the only thing bothering me was 2km of asphalt and partly macadam to the starting point. I saw no human soul in 9 hours, not even in Rastke. zmeden
Walked 23.6km in 8 hours and 45 min.

The path you thought of is OK. I don't know about the cemetery next to the hospital, even though I've passed by here many times? There are many waterfalls here, because there are more tributaries than elsewhere. The waterfalls are a few meters high. It depends on how strong the water inflow is, so they look like that. There is also one waterfall to the left of the hospital.
I have planned for tomorrow to go to these areas after a long time. I have planned to park in Rastke and then on the path you planned for the return, towards Travnik. From Travnik to Komen, Krnes, Smrekovec, Golte and then descent back to Rastke.

Hello
Once more go along the entire ridge of Rogatec and you'll avoid that annoying descent from the cross.

30.4.2026 Veliki vrh (Begunjščica)
In the morning we parked a bit further ahead (parking lot) from the Dom in Draga. Past Pastirce, Tomčeva koča, Roblekov dom. In the morning Begunjščica was still wrapped in dark fog and wasn't visible. Later the north wind dispersed the fog and we were in the sun. It was quite cold, frozen. At the hut a short snack outside and onwards to the highest peak. Soon we feel the force of the north wind that swept along the ridge. After four hours we step onto Veliki vrh 2060m.
We don't linger too long in the strong wind. Along the ridge onwards and then we treat ourselves to a short break in the shelter before descending to Preval. The calvary is steep and strenuous. When we descend to the cross (planina Preval) we treat ourselves to a longer break in the sun. We descend into the Draga gorge, which at the beginning is quite devastated by storms. Lots of rocks and when we reach the bear garlic meadows we breathe a sigh of relief. Follows an interesting and picturesque descent through a narrow gully, which is well protected and not difficult. Another km along Begunjščica and we are at the starting point.
The path is dry throughout and without any issues we walked a bit more than 12 km in 7 hours and 30 min.

20.3.2026 Krvavica, "Špura", Čemšeniška planina
I haven't wandered around here for a long time. First I brought a salt lick to "my" chamois and hung it on the cliff. If there's no licking, I'll move it where I have the salt pan. Here I noticed they come.
Continued past Gunetova glava, Ošivka, to the start of "Špura", which takes you directly to Črni vrh. Everything in excellent condition!! Ropes tensioned, cables too, in short all OK.
The last part is slippery due to melting snow remnants, but it's doable!! On Črni vrh snow, ramsons, snowdrops. Descended more my own way - steeply!!
Took a shortcut past Kukemberg, across Suhi stream and after 9km at the starting point.

In Socka +2°C and some fog.
The rocks of the ridge are sunlit. When I reach the climbing section I stow the poles and put on gloves. I expect some viper in the sun. Last year I almost stepped on it. It is warm, I check every step and grip. Exactly in the same place as last year I surprise it sunbathing. Hissing, it retreats into a crack and I barely catch the last part to photograph it. Too bad I was too slow, it too fast to film it.
At the top of Kozjek 746m I do not linger long. I descend past blooming teloh to Strnad's meadows. For a while I traverse the marked path then steeply up to the ridge, which brings me to Špičasti vrh 960m in a few minutes. I treat myself to a hearty snack and rest in the sun.
I continue along the ridge to Kislice 994m and further to the descent. When I reach the ledge that would take me back to Strnad's meadows I decide for the ridge I spot below. Beautiful descent, if only it lasted longer. I pause at the rocky tips, a bit tricky for mezmeden
Right vertical sheer walls, left so/so or continuation of the ridge that descends quite steeplyeek. I choose left and for about half an hour it is quite scary then OK. Below I hit a nice ledge, follow it to the main road to Vitanje (currently closed to all traffic). Along the empty road past Unior and about 2 km of asphalt to the parked car.

8.1.2026 Krvavica
At parking lot (12:30) by Suh potok -5C. I put on "microspikes" and follow predecessor's track to the top. Tricky part under Okno. Slippery, spikes don't grip much, snow is loose. Through Okno I climb without issues, rope is dry. But strong westerly wind appears carrying snow crystals. Already on drive to Krvavica I noticed white "curtains" on top and expected something like that. No one went to the other side yet and I decide for that descent right away. Doesn't tempt me to go back the same way over that nasty part under Okno. Descent to Tesen gorge is ok too. To the junction for Zajčevo there is predecessor's track, who hung colored tapes on branches and marked path to Zajčeva. In the gorge snow showers from branches shaken by westerly. Nothing special, except more and more fallen trees with trunks and branches obstructing the path. After three hours loop closed and still -5C.
Snow up to 60cm and some parts on my path quite challenging!

28.12.2025 Raduha
Parked a bit below Radušnik. Road for this season quite drivable (very sprinkled with sand). To the hut without gaiters, further drifts. First up to Lanež. When we reached the ridge, a hurricane-force northerly cooled us. At times we staggered in gusts and crawled to the Lanež plateau. Last rocky part quite demanding in the wind. On the plateau not so bad. When we got into the lee of Mala Raduha, it got hot. Northerly still along the ridge to Raduha summit, but not as bad as before Lanež. At the top, group photo, feed the ravens and descend to the lee. Plan to find direct route to Planina Arte. Take Maja along, her first descent on this pathless terrain. Search for the start (PVC bag marker) as usual.
Found it, descent follows. Sometimes quite tough, snow in drifts over knees or more. Newbie Maja holds up well and follows without whining.cool
Down to forest edge much better and quickly to the sun on Planina Arte. On dry benches snack and short rest. Then descent into fog. After a bit over six hours back at the start. Last part of descent muddy.
Regards
