With friends I visited it on Tuesday, quite nicely secured and the approach with smaller 'detective' inserts can be followed quite well. The via ferrata is quite steep and the vertical chimney with some knowledge of chimney climbing (using natural steps in straddle) is nicely passable and at some places you can rest nicely if needed. The opinion that it is extremely difficult is exaggerated in my opinion (plenty of footholds and handholds for easier progress) of course the D/E rating indicates what you need to be prepared for. For those whose 'via ferrataing' is just pulling with hands on the cable, the vertical chimney will mainly cause problems. It would be desirable to have at least some marks for the descent path until it joins the path to Rudnica.
PS: This is just my personal opinion as at 100 kg and 65 years it didn't cause me any major problems. For easier movement we used climbing shoes as usual in harder via ferratas.

Just for info, yesterday 30.6. I wanted to check out this new addition but the builders apparently (maybe not all finished or something) removed the access from the road entrance and the bridge to the wall at the waterfall so it's not passable. Maybe the cause is (premature) posts in media (FB,Youtube) which no one debunked. Since I wasn't the only one who ''stayed at the door'' some ''official'' info from the builders would be welcome.

Today 29.3 conditions are significantly different. At height approx. 1500m one sinks to the knees in completely rotten snow (temperature at 12h 9 deg C) from all possible gullies Storžič shakes off snow in liquid waterfalls.

Today's nice sunny weather lured us to Zelenica. Almost randomly, some "pensioners" gathered who have no time. For some, climbing the left easier part was the first time. Not much, but they repeated the exercise. I myself climbed the right - harder branch as per old habit and descended the easier one. Rock dry in the sun (the wall is currently still in the sun the whole morning) and pleasantly warm. Approach to Zelenica in shade and somewhat cooler.

Interesting that in Dovžan gorge one crocus is already blooming. I first noticed it on Christmas and the flowers still persist, even a new one has developed. A few days ago another one bloomed.

My wife and I visited this gorge 2 years ago. Besides the interesting gorge, also a nicely arranged forest educational path with an excellent viewpoint right above the road (hut with panoramic picture of the Karnics) and a nicely renovated water-powered saw at the parking. At that time the left harder variant in the gorge wasn't there yet. On the return, we viewed in the museum in Kötschach also a very extensive and interesting display of WWI battles, which also covers the Soča front.

The road is passable for passenger vehicles.

Meanwhile on slopes towards Zelenica the beautiful lady's slipper blooms.

Lower Plot deserted again today. Morning fog in the valley at Ljubelj, then icy further on, a real "winter" fairy tale. At Zelenica 10-15 cm new snow gifted by ice men. On return, snow melting decently in lower areas.

Correct, Ruš 1614m. Isolated peak that is rather little visited.
