Today my wife and I headed to the apparently less visited Sivka from Jernejčkov graben. The path is steeper at the start, then turns into a nice easy hiking trail to the top. Very nice views along the path, the best at the top where you can see far around. Warm and no wind along the path and at the top, so we really enjoyed it. Hi, I clip my Nikon DSLR D90 in a large bag with a carabiner on the front loops of the backpack and have it within arm's reach in front of me at chest height, ready to use. If it bothers me, I put it over my head back onto the backpack. While walking, I don't feel the weight at all because the backpack carries it essentially, and I don't have it around my neck. This way suits me best and it's secured because it's always in the bag and zipped up so it can't fall out.

Yesterday I used the day for a hike to Golica. Starting from Planina pod Golico. Path well traceable, dry, very few people, since snowdrops not yet in bloom, a bit of snow at the top, views limited due to mists, otherwise beautiful sunny day. Attaching some photos, Borut and Tanja had a good time.

We were on Dobrča on Sunday 10.4.2011, started from Bistriška planina, then to Lešansko and to the top of Dobrča, then also to nearby Šentanski vrh for the views. From the top we descended to the hut, lots of people there, friendly staff served us very quickly, abundantly and well. All praise to the hutkeeper. We sat on the terrace for a full two hours enjoying the views, then back to the start. Next time from Brezje via the direct path. It was a very nice hike, first time on Dobrča, best regards Borut and Tanja.

Today with wife hopped to Slavnik, because they said weekend would be bad. It was nice and hot - we weren't early birds, few visitors so peace and quiet. Attaching some pics, Best, Borut and Tanja.

Due to icy Snežnik we went to Nanos and it was great. Already at the parking in Razdrto we saw there'll be loooots today. And there were all along the path, some up, those eager ones already down. To the ridge nice, then slight pull from the west, not nasty. Path mostly dry, just two spots in the woods with some icy snow. Top really many people, in hut too, but friendly staff served us excellent food quickly. Views to Julijci OK, sea not seen due to low fog or clouds. We spent a nice day, attach some pics. Today instead of Gorenjska to Notranjska, which turned out to be a bullseye. At the beginning a muddy and dirty path greeted us, which with altitude changed to nice snowy and walkable. When we came out of the forest the sun warmed us too, which nicely softened the snow. Nice views all around on the way, quite some people at the hut. We also martinčkali for a thick hour. Instead of lounging I went to Grmada from Topol. At the path start still somehow ok, then the path became very icy in places, very wind-packed snow in places. Especially toward the top very unpleasant. Of course micro crampons at home, but in future if not on boots at least in pack. At the top two of us, Tošč with cloud cap, return path very slippery, so glad didn't end up chasing hares on the ground. Attaching some pics. Lp Borut

Today I did long planned tour to Snežnik in winter. Last year illness prevented it so this year even happier return. Really winter tour. Already driving to Sviščake more and more snow. From start even more. Walk to treeline strenuous snow soft sinking dry churning under feet draining strength. Path not trodden yet. Above treeline pleasant late enough sun softened snow no crampons needed to summit. Short breather below summit then to friendly hut keepers for refreshment. Return to valley beside path crowds to summit standing by path pointless. Pleasantly tired nice weather back to start. Descent easier trodden by over hundred hikers met ascending lp Borut and Martina.

Bravo Andrej, Dušan, Peter and Janez, I think the order is like that by names, because I know two, the other two I'll meet sometime. All congratulations, and the brave have luck and you had it in all possible ways, but we all must admit that without good preparations and fitness, for which you yourselves took care, it wouldn't have happened. I've been bedridden for a month due to severe nerve inflammation in my left leg and only follow the mountain paths via the internet. This winter I started hiking intensively in the mountains, where I discovered many beautiful and to me unknown things. This path that your group did, my wife and I had planned to do too, but it got postponed for us for a while. I'm interested how long it took you to Krekova hut, because we'll do it back too due to our own transport. Best mountaineer's greeting, Borut.

Today my better half and I headed to Polhograjska Grmada. We chose Belica as starting point and no regrets. Right from the start and all along the trail it made us feel we're working - hiking uphill. Some time through beautiful forest, then more and more views in beautiful weather with lots of sun. At the top some wind awaited us, but views so nice it outweighed it. For return we chose path to Dvor and enjoyed it too, like we haven't for a long time. Nice trail, nice views and great feeling you did something for yourself. At Belica also nice details of the stream and nature around. Tanja and Borut enjoyed it, attaching some pics, would like all but too many, all nice.

Today we set out to burn Easter treats on the forest path from Zavrha over the saddle to Šmarna gora. I got up there after 28 years, since before I saw it as warm-up before PE or punishment if we didn't listen in PE. Back then not so many people, today huge crowds and their four-legged friends. When you hit the gravel road, and even before on the bob trail it's annoying due to dust from so many feet. Otherwise the path from start is "the real one", warms you up and sweat runs nicely down your back. At top good sour milk and cold beer fit well. We'll repeat midweek, hope no such rush. On a beautiful morning, my wife and I decided to go to Krim. The path to Krim is nicely walkable, dry, with many interesting details along the path, posted only some, LP Borut

Today we visited Slivnica above Lake Cerknica. We enjoyed beautiful views and warm weather and blooming nature, we haven't seen so much saffron blooming before. We headed to the top, then back to the hut where they kindly served us. On return we met many hikers to the top. We will visit Slivnica again Martina, Tanja, Gregor, dog Devi and Borut, attaching some more pics.
