Turbo that's basically true and I agree... but here the thing is a bit different, no classic ski track, almost everyone picks their own path, with steepness the matter escalates...

A colleague was up yesterday and says the summit part of the roof, meaning the last 200m of ascent, is very icy, winter gear mandatory.

Well I use crampons and ice axe for hard snow and ice  ...in deep snow you can't do much with them except hiking ice axe or am I wrong maybe?  but wind is another story...
