Alpina Anapurna shoes, Black Diamond crampons

picture

So about 5 times I had to fix them on Dobrča and back. If I look at the picture, it's a design flaw, as the tightening strap actually pulls the 'heel cup' out of the heel bed.

When I have it fitted at home, the crampons are 'set in concrete'; I can't figure out how to remove them. When I checked on the terrain, I noticed the whole 'heel cup' had shifted down to point A, but it was still firm on the boot until the moment the crampon stayed behind me.

I'm thinking about blocking something where point B points, before tightening, or deepening the heel notch on the boot. Other alpine models have that notch definitely deeper.

Suggestions, tested solutions?

There are two smaller plains drawn here, currently above the upper one there is a 'larger glacier', and in it a lake, about 1/2 - 3/4 of the green lake, about max 3m deep, and below it is flooded max 0.5 m deep.

Does this 'lake' have a name?

Lens cap found.
On the route Rudno polje - Jezerca, probably lost in the last week.
Whoever wants it must know the brand and diameter.

Contact ZS.

I had some from BD, super expensive, not sure if it was flicklock system (that thing in the pic looks just like what I had), you pull them apart and it clicks, without tightening.

Sucks!

When you get them stuck somewhere and step on the click spot they break. And then you're without.

Normal ones, with tightening, just twist and you can still straighten them.

Recommend tehnomat, those with spring. If your elbows ever hurt you'll know why the spring.

Even if something breaks you have spare parts and service at hand.

I got myself Alpina Anapurna boots
http://www.alpinashop.si/artikel/67041

I like these crampons: http://www.iglusport.si/dereze-avtomatske-c14-fast-ledne-dereze

And I've already tried them in the store. To me it looks OK, but in the store they say they'll come off because the 'tooth' on the back of the boot is too small. As far as I'm concerned the problem would rather be in the front.

1. does anyone have this: anapurna + automatic crampons? How does the combo perform?
2. Removing the first two teeth on those crampons, does it work, does it hold?
In the store they say the straps go completely off, won't that ruin the crampons while walking?

Thanks for the info. But I wouldn't go for a gas mask, I tried that theory in the army. Here there will be terrible heat too. Although without filters it might be better.

Anyway, the mask needs to cover mouth and nose, eyes don't need to.

10 days ago, via Kalvarija to the top. All OK, snow only on the ridge ~2m, meaning almost all the way on snow. Crampons not really needed. From the top towards Roblek I'd recommend them on the snowfields though.
