Hard to say. Mine after a year and a half is practically like new. If there was a backpack on it for hours and it was scratched through scree, then it's questionable. But for rougher variants you need hardshell anyway.

Hello.

I have it, but so far I use it only for skiing and free time. Good fit, it breathes quite well, of course skiing is not the same as hiking. For hiking I swear by the classic softshell.
I would take it, say, on a long high-mountain tour in winter, but in the backpack. On some windy ridge it could prove itself.

In short, for skiing it's very good, but I haven't tested it elsewhere yet. Oh, I peed in it in a blizzard... Kr gvera! And despite heavy snow I hardly slipped. nasmeh

Hi! Yesterday I was at the summit from Krma. Snow starts approx 30 min from the shepherd's. Somewhere it's hard, elsewhere it sinks a bit, but not hard to advance.
Started at 4:15. At 8 I headed from Kredarica to the summit. That's the latest time in my opinion - nothing wrong if went up at 6 or at least 7. As atomsic wrote, it's a mix... quite a lot bare ground in between - hour of crampon grinding guaranteed. Weather insane, if had time, could easily nap on summit for an hour. On return snow even softer, especially watch on remnants of snow patches in traverses that base doesn't disappear under foot. On way up met one mountaineer, we were probably only ones on summit yesterday. Conditions for descent to Krma still top at 11h. nasmeh

And also: on upper part of Kalvarija found two-part blue pole, atnishock. Can't see brand name, quite scratched. If someone misses it, report to ZS.

Ok fine, can admin clean the topic!? Spam on 3 pages! Open trash-talk and go at it there among yourselves or on PM. Topic here is Storžič, unfortunately not seen on the last pages!

On Saturday it was quite demanding (sinking) and actually also dangerous. Some spots with lots of windpacked... elsewhere crust that didn't hold...
In my opinion nothing much has changed since then... More info on PM.

Yesterday colleague on Kordež forgot helmet (light blue Camp) - maybe around the rock there. Possible also that it unclipped during descent to the hut.
Honest finder can report here or PM. Gets beer of course. nasmeh

thanks

Yesterday it was very "spring-like", crampons were not needed. Footprints!... towards the summit to the saddle and on the flat to Kordež quite deep. nasmehDescent via the easy path to the hut and further muddy-mushy - caution is not superfluous.

Today we poked around the peaks of Durmitor again a bit. Maybe just a warning, that on the passage from Eastern peak towards the saddle for Savin kuk there are no fixed protections - just some bad pitons.
Also the descent from Savin Kuk via gully to the bivouac is difficult. Very long snowfield - recommend ice axe and crampons.

that's it

if you don't feel like tenting - first hand: apartment 1.5 km from center 25 € - if three people, share...
two-day raft at infopoint: ca 110 €, 40 km ... sleep...
today we went on one-day raft 15 km - 45€/person. For the section we rafted, I can say the guide is reliable...
mountain paths nicely marked

it's nice though - worth seeing...

tamaupir 1€.

regards

Hi!

We're heading there in a week... And we're interested in the water supply - can you get some on the path - alpine pastures, streams, springs..
Did you stop at the hut, how is the supply - water, food available? Looks like you also tented - no extreme supervision probably, right? nasmeh

Nice pics and even nicer motifs - still eagerly waiting like until now... nasmeh

tnx

On Monday there were quite a few visitors. There is still some snow in the last part, but it does not hinder the ascent much. Go boldly...

Today we were up there. Yes, even on the gentle path caution is not superfluous. Bottom icy, middle ideal, on the ridge icy and today windy of course! nasmeh Before exiting to the ridge the traverse over the meadow can be quite nasty, as the bora obviously messes it up daily... Today some turned back because of that....
temperature: -10, windchill -25
