Really unpleasant incident. I understand everything and it's clear to me. Just like we all know two dogs, especially if a pair, means the male protects the female. MajaO you reacted wisely, from dm72 I'd expect at least an apology and thanks for reacting correctly. He has a big dog, how does he plan to raise it if he doesn't know words like ..sorry and thanks, and in his explanations you're almost guilty of everything. I have a little dog too and if she runs to people not used to dogs, I at least apologize. We know the saying about owners and dogs.

Domch... interesting how you wrote that. I partially understand and from photos see current conditions. Description is short and I think partially understandable to everyone..... I like it, a bit different style.

Mountain lover, thanks for the informative information. I fully agree with them. Please tell on which F.B page you are, I would gladly join you. I think we were together this year on Kredarica for New Year's Eve.

I think Edi2 didn't write pure nonsense, tolerance is really needed, which we often lack. Especially mark mountain trails intended for mountain bikers and thus warn hikers that the trail is also for them. A problem arises when a biker rushes past you where you least expect it and it can be fatal for both.

Edi and Damjana congrats for the conquered summit and above all thanks for the pleasant New Year's Eve gathering. Prosciutto was super, the table almost buckled from goodies alone, but the best super was the company. Nice greeting from two Styrians and THANKS it was really unique. Too bad I didn't know, that you were going to the top, I would have joined you.

Igor, thank you so much for the reply, I knew you'd pass on all the necessary info. Just come up to check if we'll make it safely to Kredarica; with such a mountaineer we'll feel safe. Of course we know the weather can surprise us, but we hope for the best. Reservation.....yeah for mulled wine....understood.

Wonderful, my friend and I are also thinking about a New Year's hike to Kredarica, of course if conditions are suitable. Wondering if any reservation is really needed....???..thanks for any info.

Dog ascent to Triglav summit is nothing new. I think there are no regulations here who can climb to the very top, every dog owner takes himself and his dog on his own responsibility towards the top. Much worse is when guys lead their chosen ones with shaking legs and panting towards the top and luckily there are many mountaineers who know how to step aside and give them way.

Yeah, maybe we should split this forum a bit. One for chat, another for posting done trips or advice. Shame to drive experienced mountaineer like Igor away from portal with inappropriate chatting. After all we all miss his posts and advice. Think a bit.....no hard feelings

Dear Mr. Igor Zlodej, I apologize once again to you and all respected forum members for the posted question. If I missed the sections, since it's my first time on the forum looking at current conditions, you could have calmly pointed out where to look. But then on this forum I'm "stupid" "dumb" and I don't know what else. As much as you insulted me with stupidity, I replied in a milder tone. This is my last time on this forum and surely I won't ask anything ever again. Otherwise my name is Zvonka Špilar and in my young years I was a member of AO Celje. People mountaineers, climbers..... just what kind, is another question. A real mountaineer would tell the newbie where to look. I apologize once more for the posted questions and communication on this forum. Have a nice day. I won't even look at the page anymore.

Yes Gita, thank you very much for the friendly answer. I really am here on this portal for the first time and I really overlooked those little windows and read only the last page. Usually I do one-day solo ascents and I was mainly interested in snow conditions, because I don't have crampons, only ice axe. Otherwise I assumed that most of the snow has already melted. Last year I went the first days of August, this year I'd like to go a bit earlier. No hard feelings, truth is truth and if said nicely it's completely OK. Thanks again, take care.

Yes dear Igor Thief if this answer is meant for Planika50, it refers to current conditions, of course, which aren't in guidebooks. You are a real Thief. I thought people on hribi portal are mountaineers at heart too, but I see sometimes very snarky answers. We're here to write to each other and help with advice. Where did the good hrib folk go. If the answer wasn't meant for me, I apologize.
