Crampons/ice axe still needed? How is it over the ridge - still winter gear?

How did Skuta look? You had a closer view than I from the valley. On Monday I would go up there but curiosity is bugging me how things stand...

Winter is dangerous and as said don't go if you haven't been there in dry conditions - and don't go without ice axe and crampons without knowing anything about this and that... You can go to a winter mountain movement course mid-December under Vršič lasting two days - organized by Matica... Good luck!

What's the condition or is it possible to reach the bivouac without winter gear. What's the path to Grintavec like these days. I plan to go this weekend but wondering if I take crampons or not... Grateful for any advice.
