Best regards!

On the "previous" version of the gore-ljudje portal, I noted down quite a few descriptions and articles by Stane Škrjanec, who had set up a sub-section Research, if I'm not mistaken.

He had described many beautiful and interesting paths, which I can't find anywhere on the "updated" page. Has anyone by chance found any links, references, or were his contributions completely removed?

Thank you and best regards,
Ben

Yesterday I started from Kolovec, to LD by road and then along the ridge to Veliki vrh. Ideal conditions for breaking trail, completely dry snow and nice sunset.
Descent past Lukova bolnica and back by road

Although I wouldn't use the path over Komar for descent, the turnoff to it is indeed nicely marked on the descent from Dolič.

But it is true that the stone with the inscription is much larger than the one that disappeared in the valley velik nasmeh

No, the turnoff for Komar is not marked, nor is there a cairn, I looked carefully to see if I could spot it anywhere. The only orientation was "straight along the path towards the waterfall" (photo 2 - taken exactly at the junction).

Today from Zadnjica over Komar to Dolič, then past Kanjavec's peak to the eastern and western summit and return via Hribarice under Kanjavec's tooth and along the mule track back to the starting point.

In the morning shade all the way to the hut, which was very welcome given the heat wave.

The path over Komar pleasantly surprised me, as it is very picturesque and nicely laid out.

Safe steps,
Ben

Turbo... I didn't get this until the last few weeks mrk pogled

Thanks for showing me how to use the search.
Apparently some updates came because it didn't work before.

Thanks and best regards,
Ben

Yesterday we intended to go over Mala glava to Vrtača, but then we adjusted the plan according to conditions and equipment and in the end finished on Zelenjak and Palec.

Time and again I realize that in these parts you can't go wrong with a nice tour velik nasmeh

On the return I explored the gully in the wall of the ridge Palec-Na Možeh, where I found an approach to the ridge avoiding the hardest parts of Na Možeh.

For next time mežikanje

One mustn't do everything at once, so something remains for another time.

Best regards,
Ben

Thanks Pastirica! I think I kind of "latched" the gate, but by feeling and look from there you'd think the path goes completely differently nasmeh I can't wait to head out again and explore.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks Pastirica!

I haven't noticed this name for that little path yet. As for the continuation of the path as you described it - thanks, I think I just trimmed that part a bit yesterday and checked if it would be possible to continue towards the left fork (viewed orientation S-J). One of the pictures, right at the “little gate”.

The little waterfall really blocks the ideal passage.

Thanks for the help and spreading knowledge!
Best regards! velik nasmeh

Ben

New steps on old paths - Hunter's trail to Planina Osredek.

Kamniški vrh holds a special place for me and I always enjoy exploring the old paths marked on "old" maps that few people still venture onto.

The central summits of the ridge above Stahovica are my testing ground for physical fitness, while everything left and right of them nourishes the soul and thus mental health velik nasmeh

This time I don't opt for the approach on the hunter's trail from Sp. Slap upwards or from Svatenškova farm towards the ridge, but directly from the "start of the hunter's trail".

Start along the path to Korošaški waterfalls but only to the point where we cross the stream. Follow the newly reinforced road left, but only to the bend turning to the other side of the indistinct ridge. Here a visible trail heads steeply upwards, which we follow until we join the first leveling of the hunter's path, leading us right into the solitary world of Korosak's gorge.

Solitary, fragrant and free of man-made sounds. Just a stone's throw from the "bustle" on Planina Osredek, Planjava and Kamniški vrh.

Between both prongs of the upper waterfalls I detour and briefly check the very steep path/trace, sensing where it leads, and with that I've already planned my next adventure in this area, nicely encompassing the paths under and on Leše and Planina Osredek.

At the waterfalls there's peace that warms the heart, towards Planina Osredek and beyond, Kamniški vrh and its range currently offer a true botanical garden.

I close the loop along the ridge to Kamniški vrh and down Bosovi šiji.

Safe steps,
Ben

Fresh information from today: the road is passable without problems.

Great trip around these parts, especially between Pirčev and Ravni, where many natural beauties are hidden.

Question - why didn't you decide for the direct descent from the top of the ridge of Ravni vrh along the southern ridge, which in the last third of Ravni vrh descends directly to Prekop?

If you already reached exactly the end of the meadow on Ravni - was any little path visible to the S side into Konjska Valley?

This exploration still awaits me.

Beautiful tour and very nice mostly pathless loop 👍

@Vlajko,

The route of our descent is the route of your ascent. When you reach the gorge of the Beri waterfall, go into it, then about 5 min further from the place where you cross the gully with the landslide, watch for an unmarked and less visible branch off to the right upwards. Follow the steep path to the beginning of the asphalted road to Stador, then after 3 min of walking on the road, notice the signs for Kobilja and continue along the marked path.

Good luck,
Ben

04.04.2026

The goal of the trip was to make a circular route over Kobilja glava in an early-spring atmosphere. Goal achieved.
Starting point: parking lot at Beri waterfall.

First to Žabč past Sv. Mark and then on the marked path along the mulatjera to the top of Poloja with a nice viewpoint. From here, the view towards Kobilja glava is somewhere between motivational/demotivational depending on the distance velik nasmeh

From Poloja onwards along the marked path, which runs more or less straight under Tolminski Triglav, you quickly reach Planina Lom. But we were quite slow because we stopped so many times to admire the beauty of the path and the views.

From Lom onwards directly steeply uphill to Vrh Klonic and then along the ridge to Kobilja. Despite the slow pace and a lot of talking, we reached the summit in less than 4h.

Unexpected and above all beautiful was the realization that from Planina Lom to the top of Kobilja it's full of crocuses, which are all (or 90%) white!

I've never seen anything like it and I couldn't stop admiring how nature changes and paints with its colors.

This was followed by the descent to planina Stador and along the marked path to the road with a view of Kuk at Poljubinske Ravne. There we closed the loop by turning onto an unmarked path (which is hard to spot, but once you find it, you can follow it without trouble) that descends steeply and precipitously into the gorge, directly to the car. This part of the path was annoying and slippery (especially when wet), but there are also foreign guests on the path going “to the antenna” nasmeh

After what we saw today, a good tourist season is in store for Posočje.

16 km and 1420 m of elevation gain accumulated on the route.

Happy holidays everyone and safe steps,
Ben
