Today I drove over Korensko sedlo to Beljak and then on the bypass towards Spittal to Judendorf settlement, where there are signs for Beljaško alpsko cesto (Villacher Alpenstrasse). The road is clear all the way to the starting point at 1732m, where there's also a large arranged parking lot.
I continued on the snowy mountain road towards Dobratsch summit. The road to the hut (Ludwig Walter Hütte) is groomed so the path is nicely passable and suitable for families with kids.
At the top wonderful view from Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Karawanks, Julian Alps, Carnic Alps and Gailtal Alps to High Tauern.

On Sunday I was up there. Road clear to the parking lot, path to the top trampled. At the top I felt like at home, since there were lots of Slovenes. Cheers

The hut they completely demolished in summer and now newly built with new technology, I was up end of November in real snow storm (visibility max. 10 meters), they plan to open before end of December, at least I'll say when they tell me news.

Yesterday I was up there. Austrians had anniversary of landslide/earthquake, almost a holiday and people like on Šmarna gora. Snow ca. half a meter. Asphalt road clear to the last parking lot, path to the top trampled. Suitable for walkers, ski tourers and snowshoers, only summit ridge behind German church a bit icy. New hut below it open and full. Track of the 2003 abandoned ski slope was groomed, last week it got some cm of powder on the base. Skied to parking in the valley. Views phenomenal, camera though  at home.

Today it was nice on this -by far the easiest accessible 2-thousander around. Tower really attractive.
Otherwise - mecca for ski touring..
Hut or its modern look reminds more of a railway station than a mountain hut.
Villacher Alpenstrasse really not payable now (thank god). Well arranged..
Otherwise Dobratsch has "mountain" status - more due to altitude than anything else. Actually a tourist destination,...which is interesting, special due to arrangement, ok, etc...
Views very pleasant!
Skiers and hikers in all kinds of footwear - plenty.
Day was -nice. To Dobratsch: probably again..

I did this "hunter's path" 3 times in recent years always in the heat (July or August, on 15 August they have a party-celebrate St. Mary- mass, choir and then party on the meadow near the hut) from the barrier to the hut and recommend to everyone (but who would think that between the rocks-if you look from Arnoldstein- there runs a safe route to the top; rs756 nice pictures and congrats on the circular tour); this year I will lead a tour of the CAI-ASCA-FJK section end of September and we will do a traverse: barrier-summit-Bad Bleiberg and then ... last stage as in picture "rs756" no.18.

alessio! I'm searching and searching for a more detailed map of marked paths or hunter's paths and accesses to them for the entire Dobratsch massif. Circular variants or up-down. I don't know where else to look and search. If you can help, thanks a lot. Possible that GPS tracks exist.

In the guide from Sidarta publishing house "The most beautiful ski touring descents of Austrian Carinthia" there is also a description of Dobratsch, especially the great addition is the travel map which has technical descriptions of the tours.

Yesterday I tackled Dobratsch via the technically and physically a bit harder ALOISIASTEIG.
I parked in the forest at Almwirtschaft Schüt (access from Čajna(Nötsch) via Čač(Saak), at the fire station right where the mountain sign also points). Access to Almwirtschaft by car is officially prohibited. 
From Almwirtschaft I followed the sign for Alpengarten. It is very misleading as it is marked only with a red dot (medium demanding physically) next to it no warning like "Nur für Geübte!" or similar.
First along gravel then the path branches into the forest. Initially poorly marked, from the rock with ALOISIASTEIG inscription better, at first some knafelc markings (yellow middle), from the memorial plaque (there already first concrete view of the Julian Alps - they get nicer with ascent) then red dots. Not far ahead from that plaque the technically demanding part starts, but not too long. Easier climbing (at start a bit exposed) lasts about 10-15 min then the rock starts to flatten into just very steep path. Such path then brings me to a scree. There need to climb a bit along it (much less demanding than first climb and not exposed) then - markings ran out  What now?
Above on the right I see some wire. I reach it, but to the right where it leads no dot, to the left it's collapsed. But from it I accidentally see marking on the other side of the scree. So the scree destroyed part of the path. I find the most stable (almost solid rock) crossing over it by descending a bit back and traversing. Scree not very wide. Back on markings. From here on they are again a bit sparse but can be found.
Continuing I meet some unnecessary wires (where were they before?!?) then traverse two more screes (first trivial with already made path, second I bypass on top and despite fear immediately find markings ahead). Then a herd of chamois crosses my path and I'm at Aloisiahütte. Actually it's a bivouac.
From it I continue. Until here path was very narrow, now it widens a bit and finally brings me to the wire fence and summit plateau. Cliffs end here, markings too! Where now? Intuitively follow faint track, ascend and descend a bit and see crowds in the distance. Of course at the main path from parking at end of road to summit. I join it too. Nicely greet people in Slovenian and get some Slovenian greetings back. 
After summit walk and viewing both chapels, descend to Čajna and with bike I left nearby ride to the car, in Čajna on the way back treat myself to a beer! 
ALOISIASTEIG:
DEMANDING MARKED PATH with two sections of easy climbing.
On the mentioned part where scree took the path continue left (marking on rock visible from other side if look well). Carefully cross scree on almost non-crumbly passage a bit below last visible marking! (condition: September, 2011).
HELMET MANDATORY (several times heard rocks loosening)!
