oakley sf: above you wrote that the dog, the second time they went, just "ran down the path"...
If they went on the climbing part by the cables, you probably know that you can't really "run" much there, whether you're a person or a dog. And also that there aren't "paths" everywhere, but in the lower part it's quite vertical rock (I'll add a picture). Torture- or considerable strain could be the same thing, if it's not just physical effort but also -stress.
And one more thing: you didn't torture your DOG. It's too pocket-sized. Bz!
More will come out.. and that's right, I think. Lp!

'Running' not literally watch the video, that's the path, steep rock. Yeah it's pocket-sized that's why it goes on that path without problem If you misjudged your dog's abilities that doesn't mean you tortured it, maybe it was strenuous for him not torture, if someone waited for you at the top and said: you tortured your dog because you took him on that path would you agree?
p.s.
Tomorrow I plan to go up and to Valvazor, is there any snow up there if you know something?

Judging by this picture it seems only emptyheads are dealing with this topic, or what?
Heinz who do you take us for? And I hope that headless corpse doesn't hold it against you that you posted it on the forum, ccc

Prokofjev, you probably have such a "full head" that you at least know some people don't want to be identified online. I fulfilled the wish.. and now what bothers you, fullhead ?? Your overfull head maybe? God knows what? Go to the mountains for drainage! Might do you good.
And what is your ccc supposed to mean, probably only you know, right?
oakley sf: I too had a pinscher in the past, so let me tell the others reading this, that given the great variety of dog breeds, we can't all think the same or advocate or claim something.. There'd be a lot to say about it.. but unfortunately no time. I'll be back only tomorrow or even Sunday.
No snow on Ajdna; in this area none up to 1400m.

If someone doesn't want anyone to identify them online, such photos aren't posted, or the person is photographed so the face can't be recognized; there are lots of such photos online.
But beheading with a computer program seems extremely primitive and tasteless to me!

Today: The obvious recommendation - to wait at least a few days after snowfall for the snow to bond with the base, isn't pulled out of thin air. I started, as usual lately, from home, thinking at the same time that the path from Koroška Bela to Valvasor is at least a bit trodden. Of course mistake. I broke trail nicely the whole way and that (of course) higher up, all the more. At the end below Ajdna though - up to my waist. And as I was paddling all wet through the snow, advancing only minimally, that feeling of the snow not bonding with the base sneaked under my feet. Maybe I could have been swept away somewhere, not too far but definitely enough for a break (or maybe more), together with the mass of already wind-packed snow I was flailing through. Yeah, have to turn back, despite all the effort, I figure soon. Too much of it and too fresh. Who would've thought, this and that..? I toy with the idea of ascent on the climbing route, try it, but soon realize that without protection it's not worth heroics here. Well, let it be! And in the name of safety, let today be just an attempt, I tell myself. Nothing to do,... even though it's (only) Ajdna. Still I spent a nice, winter-idyllic day. So trail to Sušje, or Ajdna is broken, but need to wait a bit more.

and then you tell Bojan A. boldly... hehe, obviously we've all experienced something similar in "conditions" that weren't. anyway breaking trail is something special . or better said "plowing" through powder... congrats on the trail!

Sometimes even lower hills serve up an interestingly more demanding tour, which has appeal in winter days since they are deserted in summer. Great Heinz!

Yeah, well I've already been in snowy conditions on Ajdna, just the snow was at least a bit better.. Telling Bojan - "boldly", due to danger of larger avalanches.. Thanks to both! Important though is that we're outside... what'll we do in dens if we're "free"?.. Regards h!

You got "soaked", but as you say, the main thing is that we're outside. Nice pics, cheers Majda

Yes, Majda! That's what we share: we all watch for the smallest chance to jump where our heart is - into nature. If possible, we'd go every day there - "to nicer". We know that every moment of nice weather that we "in vain" waste here in the so-called "civilization" is lost forever. Be grateful for health - opportunities that we can still go!

This one about silence is so true and deep, we just too little realize and understand its real meaning. Nothing to add, - as the last sentence says!

Tisa, Reksi stayed at home in the warm, as even my legs were too short for the deep snow. Regards, h!

...Ajdna from Koroška Bela... path dry, towards Ajdna a bit frozen. After climbing a real pleasure (but short). On top views that you just stare at, nice. Aja, and both doggies went with sister on easier path. There is still snow in some places, cheers ŽIMM.

Poljana - Smolnik - Ajdna ....Both peaks are easily accessible from Završnica. The icy sections of the trail were covered by light powder snow. Pleasant trip, despite the fog, čav Majda
