Backpack

@jax it was meant for bottle or canteen bought in Kibuba or similar store.. you don't get it under 20eur.. regular bottle with drink or water you get for 50 cents anyway velik nasmeh I never had a bought canteen either, always take water or drink in regular plastic bottle, cuz it seems pointless to spend money on canteen that has same purpose as regular bottle for 50 cents.. for bladder I'd pay even 30eur cuz it's more convenient and no problem to give those few euros for it.

As for debating who drinks how much and such on tours, no sense, cuz this is topic for backpack and gear purchase, not about how durable body is and what's in someone's head. Let everyone drink as much as they want, some every 10 min, others every 10 hours. True 3/4 is in the head, but whatever main thing is enjoy mountains, that's the whole point, right? Personally I drink at least 2-3 liters fluid daily even at home doing nothing. On tour even more, why not cuz fluid is good for body.

@miri thanks for info, but probably take Camelbak bladder. Was at Intersport, but they don't have in stock now..

Kleemen, definitely our body needs water, but within normal limits. If I drank 2-3 l/day and didn't sweat them out, I'd get such cramps and diarrhea that I'd probably just collapse. We have to consider that water is also in food. Well, as they say 100 people 100 wonders, so I won't judge anyone. If you like it and have no problems keep going.

Maybe I'd pee a little more often, probably wouldn't get closer to death from water. velik nasmeh

Grega, with "collapse" I didn't mean permanently collapse or die, but I'd have the problems I mentioned in the same sentence. Maybe I expressed myself inappropriately.

That's true, it depends on the person and how the body is accustomed to it. Some don't like too much fluid, and of course you get fluid from food too. I drink at least 3dl of fluid with every meal, and then additionally.

Looking for backpack: Salewa Ascent 30 (gray color) Since it's 2013/14 model I can't find it anywhere. Checking foreign sites too...

I need help buying a backpack. I need it for one-day and two-day trips to high mountains, for via ferratas and normal paths. I'm deciding between three. Please, if someone can advise me. Thanks.

40 liter for one and two day trips? zmeden
Better look at 20l to 25l ones. I use Lowe Alpine Airzone Z20 and it seems big enough for two days.

Most hikers for such trips use around 35 l backpacks...if you buy Deuter you can't go wrong...

Depends on how demanding a user you are? If you'll need the backpack also for two- or multi-day trips in winter (with all gear) then 35+10l comes in handy, Osprey is also a quite good brand and maybe the best choice... Check the price, weight and if possible go try it in the store.

For day hikes I use Deuter guide 35+, for two- or more-day ones Deuter guide 45+. Excellent backpacks, I miss only the rain cover, which can be bought separately. Especially for winter daymežikanje hikes the 35 l backpack is not "too big" at all.

I'll probably take this: Hiking backpack DEUTER futura pro 36L (one- or two-day tour). I think it's totally OK...

If you're a PZS member it's -10% which is about 135€ (abroad even more expensive...)

skrba, if you're tall don't take SL, because it's adapted to shorter backs.mežikanje

Skrba, better go to Kibubo, with storži you can save more (20%), and they know how to advise you better. That blue with pink one like in your link I think is the women's model.

Check also the factory story website. There I got the last piece which was discounted. And she discounted it even more for me. 48-liter Ospray backpack. For two-day hikes it's big enough.
