A while ago I watched a film that I really liked. It was about conquering Cerro Torre in Patagonia. Does anyone perhaps know the title of the film.

SilvestrO, if you continue in this style, no one will stand up for you anymore. No hard feelings. Good luck!

I told myself, there are already too many topics over our heads, I won't open a new one, I'll just tag along here. Recently I read an excellent book Touching the Void, written by mountaineer Joe Simpson and since every now and then I take time to read a book, I'd be very happy for any suggestion. Of course the topic should be "mountain-related". Here, if by chance someone needs an idea too, I'd recommend the following; Tomo Česen-Sam, Tomaž Humar-No Impossible Paths and especially my personal favorite Nejc Zaplotnik-Path and Pavle Kozjek-Life of a Mountaineer, thanks in advance for any good reading .

Yup, Call of the Mountains is top-notch. Likewise The Enchanted Stone by Franček Knez and Beyond the Mountain by Steve House Then you also have Ivč Kotnik - Touch of Heaven, Klement Jug - Wall and Death, Heinrich Harrer - The White Spider (history of conquering the north face of Eiger)...

I also read Touching the Void a while ago and it's really good. Likewise Mihelič's Call of the Mountains. The last one I read with mountaineering theme was Tone Škarja's In His Own Tracks and I highly recommend it too. Interesting is also Messner's Life at the Extreme Limits. I recommend also Jon Krakauer Into Thin Air, which describes the tragedy of two commercial expeditions to Everest. I've read multiple times all books by Goršlj, Humar and other of our alpinists and none disappointed me. A classic is of course Zaplotnik's Path.

Has Kugy already been mentioned? My favorite. All books, preferably From the Life of a Mountaineer and Anton Ojcinger, life of a mountain guide. For calming the passion though I recommend studying any map of the Alps.

Thanks, ideas more than enough as far as I'm concerned , if someone else has any left, just bring it out. Let's leave passions alone, and of course I apologize to film fans that I littered a bit .

Garbage man has to go out too, not just brother FLEXI, I recommend a nice mountain film: Mein lieber from berg zu berg. Haven't watched it, but in the pic there were four young guys in hozntreger shirtless, in the background some young lady, and I think there was a cow too :P
