ločanka, by the Soča, it was a yellow wagtail, not grey (recognized by the nice yellow belly). To me both are beautiful. nasmeh

georgia, but you know I can't agree with you. I went to look a bit, grey is grey on top and this one is grey, not olive yellow. Also its favorite places are by flowing waters, yellow ones prefer marshy areas e.g. Lake Cerknica has most of them, also Sečovlje Saltpans. So I almost don't yield nasmeh.

ločanka and georgia, I join the opinion that it's the grey wagtail, because on the second picture it's well visible that it has dark throat, characteristic for grey wagtails. Male has almost black throat, female grey... All indicates it's male. nasmeh

Sorry for the mistake, obviously I was taught wrong - all my life I've called white wagtail "grey", grey wagtail "yellow".
I didn't delve into detailed names of wagtails and looked quickly and saw yellow color, aha, then it's "yellow" wagtail. nasmeh
Although generally I distinguish birds well - we learn all our lives. velik nasmeh

Even two pairs, bullfinch and lišček chose the climbing rose for their home this year. All successfully jumped out of the nests (it didn't go without a loud circus, they don't know the neighboring cats are all on briquettes). We've now after almost three weeks "unblocked" the nearest windows.

Spotted flycatcher has been hunting in gardens around us for about a month. It ambushes prey from a perch, always catches it in the air. With my phone I checked what's happening in the nest. The flycatcher chicks have already jumped out of the nest, again it didn't go without the parents' panic. But nothing shows that the neighbor's cat, who really likes watching birds, wants to leave the comfort zone, as it's modernly called now.

77blaz, that's a very interesting observation. After all, it only has one big beak, nice..

Yes, they only have one big beak, but it can't be done otherwise. In a few months they must be ready for migration to Africa.

Sharing some moments from the story we witnessed with the family. Regards
I think it's a female grey flycatcher, the children named her Peni.1
Aha! Three eggs! Super! :)2
First day! How incredible they are, only about one centimeter big.3
3rd day... diligently eating and growing4
After a good week5
The chick is bigger than a chicken! 12th day6
Someone is always nearby7
After fourteen days they are already real fledglings. The parents leave them alone more, they have to grow up quickly! Thanks and good luck little birds!8
