plezac thanks, I myself was leaning towards that in the end. And I read that they can be seen on Črni prsti, and they like near water.

The smallest Slovenian bird, goldcrest. A real jewel. Weighs like a piece of chocolate.

zzblaz, great shot! We rarely see it.

I am presenting a bird from the thrush genus -cikovta. It can be recognized by the characteristic belly or chest - creamy yellow, dark spotted. Upper part from crown to tail is brown.

Shot this morning at a larger feeder. Greenfinches, song thrushes, fieldfares seek seeds on the ground. No siskins and redpolls yet, nor great spotted woodpecker. Noticed four woodpeckers right away. Regular guest also marsh tit - called also pezdirčevka.
Hawfinch and fieldfare. I set up the feeder two weeks ago—around October 20. First fieldfare this autumn.1
Hawfinch—first observed this autumn at my feeder.2
Hawfinch.3
Taken from very far away—the feeder is at the end of the lawn. Tree sparrows have taken it over.4
The blue tit is a regular guest right from the start when I set up the feeder and hung suet cakes.5

The cranes' call always gives me an idea of the enormous power they have inside.
About 4 weeks ago approx 200-300 noisy birds east-west direction, flying near Ptuj.
Smaller group around 60, a few days before that flock.
Best!

On the night to this Wednesday at least one flock overnighted in Bohinj, during the day at least three flocks flew over it (unless it was the same flock looking for the lowest pass ...).

Otherwise I wouldn't have recognized them, but the BirdNET app was convinced that it was their trumpeting velik nasmeh.

Thanks to both for the data! I would ask you also to always specify:
-number of cranes (estimate ok)
-flight direction
-date and time
-approximate height

Thanks!

Yesterday I photographed a ringed alpine chough on Grintovec. If you notice one with a ring, photograph it if possible and state the place and date, as this contributes to knowledge of the species. Ornithologists will be very happy with your photo.

Yesterday, 24. 11., at 15:20 two flocks of cranes very clearly visible, they were flying quite low.
Approximately 200 birds in each flock.
They flew in east-southwest direction.

Anyway Janez I'm replying a bit late above Ptuj.

Today similar story, about a hundred birds over Ptuj, which flew in direction in direction east west, right over Ptuj. Otherwise they were confused at one point, then found the right direction. Time today around 10 o'clock.
