Encounters with the ptarmigan are always something special It appears suddenly from nowhere, I just spot her. If she has a good day (to my joy), she stays long near me. Sometimes she prefers to be alone and quickly moves away from me. This one kept me company for a long time, grazed not far from me. I had a snack in good company

Thanks @ločanka, on Tosec. No one else was up there so she appeared. They don't like šundarji 😉

Oh Bojan! There's a lot of beauty in nature, you just need to see and hear it

Right Tone, in nature I often remember the words that Robanov Joža wrote: "You will see what others don't see. You will hear what others don't hear. You will feel what others don't feel. You will seek what was never lost."

Rubric, which I always like to browse. Swallows, wonderful. But I have to say, although I have no recordings or photos, that from a distance of a couple of meters I watched parents feeding chicks perched on the barbed wire brajd fence. Wonderful what I saw, they fed them in flight. Nature and animals are a wondrous creation. LP!

Swallow. They have chicks and plenty of work with them.

Well swallows are really interesting. After a few years a pair wove a nest in the barn right next to the house. Then the female laid eggs. Swept them out of the nest. They quickly got to weaving another nest near the barn door. The previous one was apparently too far. And the eggs probably weren't fertilized. Now feeding the chicks. Woe if cats show up nearby. They circle them until they go away.

We both wanted to pet the little fluffballs , but we could only quickly step in front of them, the boss - no joking with him. LP!

Has someone built them a chicken coop...well "swan coop"? Feeds them regularly? Offers veterinary care? In the end to the oven (ok, we can skip the last)? But no, that's not a wild animal...

As for some breeding place, I don't know, but I think not, since this pond in the gravel pit offers numerous nesting and protection options. We were at this pond a year ago and ran into a similar situation. LP!
