I'm not quite 100% sure. But it was cuckooing. Up there on the white birch.

Aren't you 100%? Was it cuckooing, was it on the birch or maybe a cuckoo?

Pikica thanks. Maybe this one on the first picture too. The cuckoo has nothing else to do but to cuckoo. Always hides behind the branches.

The wrens have chosen a really safe place for the nest.

The cuckoo is very close. A pair of wrens made a nest near the previous one. Looks like the cuckoo sneaked its egg to the wrens, because only one fledgling survived. Probably that's why they abandoned the nest.

Yesterday we met. I stop a bit and take some pics. Then I circle it from farther away so as not to disturb it unnecessarily. Before stepping over the edge, I heard its call, up there among rocks where it perched Unforgettable

These are our dear storks. For many years the storks had a nest on the chimney of the elementary school. Two years ago something happened with the nest and three chicks drowned in the mud of the nest. That's why they made a new nest in the middle of the village on the electric pole last year. The stork searched for it for about a day and there were already chicks last year. There's no camera there though. The elementary school had a camera and the students could see what was happening in the nest. This is a recording from yesterday. It looks like the pair of storks has chicks.

Beautiful Darinka, you always manage to make such beautiful photos, I look at them with pleasure. For me the best singer is the starling, you just have to hear it before mating, how many different voices it knows to sing, ...just to get its female. Best regards!

Birds in the morning searching for food. Four green woodpeckers on my small garden. Beautiful it was to observe them. Among them there were also diligent starlings.

A pair of nightingales is nesting a second time this year. They wove a new nest for themselves, because into the previous one most likely the cuckoo sneaked an egg.
