The same nice greeting, but now that you've survived the descent, we also hope to meet again; lp ; since you have no pics, here's one more of yours;

From which direction is it best to climb Blegoš so that it's trodden?

Check the descriptions for Blegoš. In winter it's very suitable to choose ascent from village Leskovica. Access from Poljanska dolina-(ca 1h30)

Blegoš gets trodden very quickly, so I think you won't have any problems. If you stick to the route descriptions on this side or others, you'll experience Blegoš in all its beauty, as it has something to offer. LP Andrej

Very nice path to Blegoš also leads from village Čabrače above Hotavlje. I hiked it end of last year, already in snow. But it has two drawbacks: first part very steep and second, I doubt the trail from that side is frequent?! Nice though! (read description on this site, search trips, Blegoš)

I'll go tomorrow to Blegoš on what I think nicer path from Poljan turn to Javoreje in Javorje straight to village Gornja Zetina where you park at Andrejon farm and then along road where at barrier go ridge up or path to hut then top lp

No, Blegoš enchanted me again today in excellent company with its beauties. There's plenty written about Blegoš, we used the last day before the obvious weather worsening. I've never seen so many spontaneous avalanches as today. The summit is quite windblown, partly frozen, upper part hard crust and quite a bit of drifted snow, middle excellent powder, towards the end of the ski slope light crust. Overall, an exciting tour. Since we had only fog and strong wind at the top, I'm attaching a couple of pics from the path. LP Andrej

Andrej, clearly the Gorenjska side was sunlit, Primorska less friendly. The weather at the top was the same for everyone. Adding pics from the top...

Wow! We reached the top only around 3 PM. During the climb from the hut to the summit, the sky completely closed over, above the hut we could still see the Julian Alps and Ratitovec, but at the top visibility was just a few meters, so it worsened quickly. LP Andrej

We too were on Blegoš today. This is an excellent winter hike for families with kids, so it's practically on our "family program" every winter. It's distinguished by relatively easy access, "decent" height, excellent views in good weather, and the open hut as the icing on the cake - meaning: enjoying apple strudel and pancakes. Our starting point was Zg. Žetina village - from there the road isn't plowed - which extends the walk by about 20-30 minutes, we climbed along an excellent track on the direct path to the top, then down to the hut and back to the valley. Beautiful day behind us!
