I tramped this morning about 3/4 of the way to the saddle. From the shepherds where snow starts. It was up to the ass, and it was strongly windy and foggy, so I turned back. I met three more heading up, I don’t know if they made it.

I wasn't  ...it was up to the knees somewhere near the shelter. But it's muddy. I didn't sit down to have it up to my ass

Today sunny on Brana, a bit windy.. icy snow on one part, need to be careful and it is possible also without crampons. Most today were without and no one had problems. Quite crowded

Yesterday from Kamniška Bistrica to Kamniško sedlo and Brana. Path without peculiarities and normally passable. Practically no snow, or just for a few steps.

Today 26.10.2017, I ascended Brana. Path completely dry, except the part over scree from Kamniško sedlo all the way to rocky ascent to the summit. I used crampons and ice axe, I warmly recommend it to other hikers too. I met (just above scree) a hiker in just boots and trekking poles returning to valley... Quite unsafe! Do not recommend at all in this season!

Brana-Planjava (28.10.17)
Snow on traverse path frozen as predecessor said. Ice axe necessary, strongly recommend crampons. Variant to traverse that part from below over annoying sand. Path to Planjava requires no equipment.

West to Brana(22.11.17)
After work straight to Kamniška Bistrica. A bit late for the time, but still pretty good 1h and a half to the saddle with gojzlarji. No excessive crowds in the last two weeks, but some were there. Very well made high traverse path-powdery snow. Went straight up along the left side of the rock(winter). Fantastic weather. At the saddle just in time before solid darkness. Four nice hours up-down.
