Today on Brana. Not exactly on Redbull's tracks, as wind covered them well, but more in the summer path area. On the way across scree occasionally some slabs, caution not superfluous. At transition from scree to ridge a bit frozen, otherwise snow on ridge ok.
Wasn't such a nice day as yesterday, also very strong wind at saddle and on slope below summit.
On return my tracks were already drifted over in some places.

The road to Jermanca is in very poor condition, as far as I know they maintain it only once a year.

Just yesterday I saw that they were repairing the initial section of the road from the hut in K.Bistrica towards Jermanca, I don't know how far. I was a bit surprised because they usually do it in spring and not before winter. I went on foot from the valley.

Yesterday afternoon (Sunday 25.3.2018) unfortunately someone fell again from Brana towards Okrešelj. I wish him a successful recovery.
The other fallen one, at almost the same time on Mrzla gora, could no longer be helped.

It's about two different bases. Mrzla g. in full sun, the path to Brana mostly in shade already. For the latter it's hard to say the conditions are bad.

Sunday, 25 March 2018 at 15:34 GRS CELJE, GRS KAMNIK
At 13.52 while ski touring from Brana towards Kamniško sedlo in the municipality of Kamnik, a ski tourer slipped on the steep slope, fell into a gully and got injured. Rescuers from GRS Celje and Kamnik intervened, as well as the Slovenian Army helicopter, which lifted the injured with a winch and transported to UKC Ljubljana.

On Sunday 10.06.2018 we set off for the tenth anniversary of the same ascent (22.06.2008) from Kamniška Bistrica through Bosova gully to Kapitan (1943m), descent to saddle between Kapitan and Brana, not as demanding as it looks at first glance, then continued to Brana ridge, descent to Kamniško sedlo-hut, after break descent over scree to Pastirci, where it slowly started wetting us. On ascent through gully sunny-partly cloudy, to Kapitan fog surprised us, temperature right for short sleeves, no wind. First jump into gully quite demanding, then one gets used to the effort.
