Yesterday after reading I also jump to Ciprnik from the lake. Path is really fine. Once up there, you can't go down. Because you can't look enough at all 360 degrees around.
P.S. path not among descriptions..suggest to add it.

Today there were many of us on Ciprnik and interestingly all started the tour at Lake Jasna. The path is nice, no snow anywhere. One big minus to Dom on Vitranc (its owners), which is falling apart, views from it beautiful all around. Descended by the cable cars.

Yes, today it was really nice up there. Quite a few of us were first-timers.
And we two, Janez, exchanged a few words about the big crowd and that I'd continue to Planica. You said another lady you met before me would do the same.

The upper hunter's path from Lovska koča in Mali pišnici in the section climbing between two gullies is OK. In the section running horizontally about 100 v.m. below the ridge it's destroyed due to torrent gullies, so lots of climbing is needed and that's dangerous due to crumbly terrain. Because of that a new link was made from the first impassable gully to the marked path in the saddle under Ciprnik.

Fine, I'll go check the new connection... Still seems to me the only real approach, a bit spiced to Ciprnik. Interesting that the path was closed for foreigners, deadly dangerous for Slovenes. and so since 97'? Shame this beautiful wild path is decaying like that.

Back then when paths in M. Pišnica could be restored they didn't, because they viewed hiking development too narrowly, afraid now it's too late. Probably path stays unmarked for off-trail enthusiasts. Area is in Mala Pišnica nature reserve, first protection belt of Triglav National Park and new park plan proposal intends to abolish even old hunter paths and ban mountain visits in protected zones. Hope it moves right way and hiking develops as we all want.

I was waiting for you! I heard you posted on hribolazcu but didn't want to bother! Ciprnik is a walk from certain directions, from yours surely not! But from Grlo to SŠ didn't you look at anything?
