Winter gear needed only if you bypass ferrata on Cjajnik and go up left into gully. It's still well filled...
Small snow crossings on scree no problem, so without ice axe and crampons

To avoid the worst heat, we three grandpas set out early in the morning from in front of Koča pod Košuto towards Cjajnik. We warmed up nicely until the climbing section and first sweat drops appeared. Here we gear up properly and chat a few words with Family "primoža", who were just entering the tougher part. We bravely tackle the cable and completely dry rock, which allows pretty quick progress. We spot a completely new grouted piton, as the drilling dust hasn't been washed by rain yet. After a stop at the quite windy summit, adrenaline descent to Cjajnikova škrbina followed, spoiled a bit by torn and for bare hands dangerous cable right before dropping into the notch itself, and same spot somewhat hidden and poorly visible peg under the rock. Path continuation to Košutnikov Turn is no problem. On descent over hanging bridge, watch for crumbly rocks everywhere waiting to be triggered, not just under feet, also in hands you quickly hold a piece.
Us early birds had a nice day, others already got fog and stronger wind embracing highest peaks announcing weather change.

Today I did this tour and no snow left anywhere. Seemed exceptionally nice to me and expected much harder climb from descriptions.

On Friday after work my colleague and I jumped to Cjajnik... for ascent from Koča pod Košuto and back same way we needed 4.5 hours... climbing part up and down practically same time (1h 40min)... cables all in super condition, maybe one or two seem a bit loose (but intentionally) hanging (not tensioned) - for the upper one best to go between it and wall, leaning on cable with outer elbow or shoulder
strenuous stretches: lower 35m to ledge, 2m overhang behind ledge, 5m slightly overhanging gully and behind it cca 20m ridge slab before 35m summit part, where difficulties mainly that slabs get smeared with rubber from climbing shoes, so increasingly slippery (!)
so on return don't run out of arm strength, sometimes better with brains than muscles (that's why I even used belly sometimes, especially at both slabs on descent from top)
