A 70-year-old lady with pneumonia that developed from covid, after about a week at home, alive and healthy (healthy as much as ignoring previous illnesses). She was a bit on oxygen and it's resolved, just pneumonia as pneumonia. The lady has diabetes, heart failure, high blood pressure, cholesterol and some meds against blood clots already before. So, that's the worst case I personally know so far.

The right side of history... Corona is still going on, 76 years since WW2, and some still don't see...

Doesn't matter about rounding, but rather that various corona stories will be woven for a very looong time. Well, during the war it was basically pretty simple. Either you fought against the occupier, or you swore to him that you'd fight against your compatriots together with him. But was it really that simple? Did everyone really have all the info back then? Did everyone really know who and what they were fighting for? Or were many perhaps misled? Anyway... corona isn't over yet. Probably clear what I wanted to say.

Not only did many lack information, some didn't even have a choice; if partisans came for you, you had to go with them, if domobranci then with them. Other option: in front of the wall and shoot! What's wrong with Dražgoše? That we celebrate a defeat, which besides Serbs and their Kosovo Polje is apparently unique in Europe. European nations don't even mention their defeats, some even erase them from school textbooks. Of course they can't hide the more important ones. So Austrians don't mention their Slavkov (don't know why we still use the German distortion Austerlitz for that Moravian town), while French have streets and avenues named after it and even one Paris metro station. Conversely in Germany many streets named Sedanstrasse, in memory of the German-Prussian victory after which Germans (parallel to Dražgoše) marched into Paris, and looted, burned, raped... To a Frenchman just the name 'Waterloo' maybe makes his hair stand on end more than mention of Sedan. They even have a pun "Napoléon cédant Sedan, céda ses dents" (it was of course Napoleon III, not Bonaparte) Let alone anyone going there to celebrate. Only a nation that hasn't created any great victories in its history, or forgot them, or is ashamed of them celebrates its defeats. Yeah the previous regime sadly robbed us of a lot of national pride too.

The comparison with Dražgoše still holds: Slovenes in this battle against the virus actually suffered a defeat. And just like Germans would have squashed partisans like flies if Allies hadn't defeated them on a European level, we too wouldn't have defeated this virus without the vaccine, or with way more dead and economic damage. And the national traitors? We all see them socializing, ignoring measures, inciting others to ignore them, sabotaging those trying to enforce them, spreading conspiracy theories online, downplaying the disease, attending protests... Well, we see them on this forum too.

India. Someone wrote on RTV forum... "I live and work in India, things aren't rosy, 3500 is official number, 35000 is more realistic. Even comparing govt reported numbers with crematorium numbers, you see it's multiple times off." So 35 thousand daily dead, that's 1 million 50 thousand covid deaths monthly. That'll be more realistic number, yeah I agree.

On Monday and Tuesday only around 400 vaccinated. Scientists in Slovenia can't figure out why, Bojana says she's sad. But I'm happy, sheep are slowly decreasing.

Is this also a consequence of increased health concerns during the epidemic?

You also missed one important thing, namely that here even if you're negative nothing helps. You must wear a mask, distance, gathering ban etc. If anyone here even thought of such an event, automatic 10 years in jail. While advanced countries think in the right direction, we deal with pierced masks for musicians and socks over the trumpet. This confirms what I've been saying all along. Corona is not transmitted asymptomatically, like no other respiratory disease. But the asymptomatic transmission tool was a great argument for fascistoid obsessives who couldn't wait to lock down the people so they could steal big time in peace.

"namely, that here a negative doesn't help you at all." But now suddenly they want this 'terrible discrimination' of conditioning rights with a negative test (and of course also vaccination, recovery)? If they introduced that here, leftists would immediately jump up, what discrimination that is, NGOs would speak out, info commissioner, constitutional court,... Yes, then there have to be masks, distance, ban on gathering, ... Socialist egalitarianism! So no one is better off in anything. Respiratory diseases, including covid, can also be transmitted asymptomatically! This wasn't invented by politics, but by experts.

"Respiratory diseases, including covid, can be transmitted asymptomatically!" Show me proof for that claim. It's always been the case that colds are transmitted through the air via droplets, which happens with coughing and sneezing or in other words with symptoms.

The funniest to me was that one about national traitors that we "see socializing".., "not following measures".. "downplaying the disease".., with which the author of those words - I'll bet unintentionally - classified numerous rural residents among the "traitors", who in the past months regularly visited village taverns; many were secretly open even during the six-month closure... We all know which voter base these people mostly belong to. Yes, the boomerang comes back quickly...

Intentionally, intentionally, no worries. And I don't understand what voter base and boomerang have to do with it. And it wasn't funny at all to watch such and similar fools (if I borrow Primož's still quite mild expression) in our small town that advertises as 'town in the countryside'. That's why it was worse in smaller municipalities than e.g. in Ljubljana. Kacin nicely said that Slovenia is divided into city and countryside. And I don't know why he supposedly had to leave because of that. I completely agree. But the question is whether the countryside is more messed up, or if there's more control in cities. Our little town for example doesn't even have a police station and I don't know when I last saw any official on our streets, except when something happened. I'd say it's a bit of both. @Becar: if you don't believe the experts, I can't prove anything to you either. It's known that you're most contagious 2-3 days BEFORE and after symptoms appear. You don't have to cough. Singing, loud speaking, shouting do cause spitting (even if unnoticeable), close contacts at less than a meter are risky even with normal speaking. And other causes like drinking from the same bottle, ... There were tons of such infection cases published in the media. If those are just inventions of the 'covid mafia', then I have nothing to add.
