Tweeting is really JJ's bad side. We all agree on that.
Otherwise this government wouldn't look so horrible if media had equal measures for all. RTV steals 150 euros from every household per year, whether you watch or not (you can have no TV, radio, computer - important is the electricity connection). Doesn't that seem fascist to you, since you like throwing that word around? Has anyone seen criticism of M. Šarc or T. Fajon on RTV? Of course not, both are their former employees. So much for the objectivity of a medium we all forcibly pay for, regardless of political affiliation, but it works only in the interest of one option.

What's fascist about that? Yeah, maybe it's a bit awkward that we get separate bills, but it's simply a tax that finances public service. And public RTV is a public service, just like public health, education or cultural institutions - for which they also deduct money without special permission, even though we don't get special bills for them.

It's a topic in the general discussions section, so strictly speaking political topics aren't forbidden either. I think the level of debate is generally acceptable, but of course it's up to the administrator what policy he'll adopt.
Anyway, with politics it's like I said once - we can be a mountaineering portal, but as long as we're stuck in municipalities, it's illusory to expect that every debate won't eventually boil down to measures.

There are quite a few who have been writing comments for weeks where they never forget to criticize the current government and its representatives, and that's not a problem. But when I write something against the other side, it has to be deleted because this isn't a political forumzavijanje z očmi
That's exactly what I'm talking about. About the hypocrisy of leftists and their media.

Are they leftists too??? Even abroad they see what's happening, only some on this forum are blind and live in their own fairy tale. I admit, I'm a bit envious of you velik nasmeh

Monitor Civicus (research project assessing respect for fundamental freedoms in 196 countries) has in its latest report classified Slovenia, previously ranked among countries with open civic space, among those with narrowed civic space. The lower rating means democratic freedoms like freedom of expression, peaceful assembly and association are increasingly violated here. Restrictions deepened under Janez Janša's government, they write.

Civicus in its latest report, People Power Under Attack 2020, writes that Slovenia's rating dropped due to restrictions on civil society under Janez Janša's government. They highlighted suppression of media freedoms in Slovenia, including threats to journalists and independent media. They also report worrying attacks on civil society organizations and groups dealing with culture, human rights, media freedom and environment. The report mentions cycling protests that took place in Ljubljana for dozens of weeks in a row from March 2020 as a response to government repression.

The Monitor is also concerned about interference in media independence and worsening working conditions for journalists. While the government has taken measures to reduce media independence, funding for media like Nova24 TV, Nova24 online and Planet TV is increasing. These media are funded by parties and individuals close to Janez Janša's close ally – Hungarian authoritarian PM Viktor Orban, known for suppressing independent media, writes Civicus organization.

The report also states that the authorities tried to exploit the new coronavirus epidemic as an excuse for further restricting civil society, mainly by reducing funding and hindering environmental NGOs. The second wave brought another attack: 18 NGOs on Metelkova face forced eviction from state-owned premises.

Slovenia is not alone in attempts to restrict civil society. Monitor Civicus found similar restrictions on civil society and media in other European countries like Hungary, Poland and Serbia, where authoritarian leaders use the coronavirus epidemic as a pretext to limit freedoms.

Dragon, of course, whoever isn't for JJ is immediately a commie, leftist etc... So in SLO there's only JJ on one side, and on the other we're all commies, right. Seen and heard before. Good thing this ruling will end soon, because this now is by far the worst government in independent SLO. Yeah, even abroad they're horrified. Probably all commies there, blinded by Slovenian commies, murgels, uncles from the background and other mythical beings. In my opinion our commies even have commie embassies all over the world, to lie about JJ.

In this country there will be peace and prosperity when most undecided go to elections, meaning those of us who are fed up with both JJ and so-called commies.

Trobec, very vivid and humorous description of the view of Slovenian politics on the Hribi.net portal.
If the assembly of wise guys from Hribi.net formed the Slovenian government, they would immediately solve all Corona problems. They would also get a balanced and punchy government! All problems and misunderstandings would be put away in drawers. nasmeh
