No, Drago, I won't, because I'm neither for the left nor the right, all are equally corrupt, no difference, all just look to their own ass or pocket. I don't like JJ solely because of his actions, which are also reflected in his "genial" tweets. His policy is so "brilliant" that they have a lot to say about it even abroad. I wonder if he and Trump have already gone for a drink, now that he is president again velik nasmeh

Yes, ppegan, I also know several like you who were skeptical about flu vaccination and "knew" about many unsuccessful vaccinations. This year they were first in line for vaccination! That's why the vaccine ran out immediately. Maybe that's why some elderly who really need it stayed without.mrk pogled
I myself have never gotten a flu shot, because until now I haven't felt the need. Not this year either. Maybe sometime in the future.
As for politics, I think it doesn't belong on this forum at all. Even Jakob Aljaž thought we are all equal in the mountains. One way or another.
I already suggested to Tadej to do something about it, but he seems to enjoy debates in this thread, even though mountains are reachable for him too.nasmeh

So. Primož, I've learned quite a bit about you on the forum, including that you're a man of firm stances who isn't overly inclined to try to empathize with fellow humans' experiences, but I didn't know you could be so insulting. It's a bit strange for me to say this, but I will: the above comments are not to your honor. And you won't believe it, life's paths can be inscrutable and don't rule out the possibility that someday your well-being, health or life will depend on those you're insulting up there, who shit against the wind.

Secondly, I'd comment on what Drago wrote:

You won't believe it, but politically I've long not positioned myself very left (maybe in high school and start of uni, but long ago). Actually in political debates I always took a position of "learned ignorance". My stance was always: what does it matter who's in power? Yes, ruling option can to some extent correct society's development direction, but acute consequences? We're in rule of law, employment contracts valid anyway, schools function, laws apply (can be changed, but especially systemic laws not so easy and fast). In short, I always held that in daily life it shouldn't have any influence who's in power.
Now I have a very sad feeling it's no longer so. The most crying out to heaven is precisely Zlatko's case - think what we want of him, he had valid decision which government annulled without any legal basis and without procedure. And as mentioned several times - in 1988 police didn't even think to fine people honking in support of Janša. This year they targeted them and issued fines for banalities at political protest. Simply what written above no longer holds. Ruling option took right to reshape society in own image and disregard century-old tradition of legal protections development.
And this has sad consequences here too - among hillwalkers. Simply I'm no longer sure it will be so simple as before, when you could go to hills or climb with anyone without asking who they vote for or what they think of political situation. Now people started insulting each other so disgustingly that I'm not sure it still holds. Simply we stopped looking at people as fellow humans who sell us bread in shop, stitch our wounds, teach our kids - or ultimately protect us in crag or come rescue when something goes wrong in hills. And that's key. People are first our fellow humans doing their jobs and building our world - and we must judge them by that. Their political stances come only after, and shouldn't be in foreground. Now we became so horribly suspicious of each other that I'm not sure e.g. Primož still trusts that belayer who doesn't support lockdown will even stop his fall in crag. And that's society's downfall.

Obviously there are multiple truths here. The only sensible path is the middle one, with lots of understanding for all sides. Man needs man regardless of personal conviction. It doesn't bother me that I'm currently sheep or fool for someone, since it's all one big delusion and I'd be childish to take offense at every word. I'm here for you and for myself. Let me remind you, love shines brighter than anything we think real. We feel that in forest, on mountain, on rock, on path, right?
And not only in hills. Also in illness and sorrow, there too is love. Don't forget all who suffer and hurt endlessly. Every step in hills is step for all who can't do it! Every step is step of life and death, every breath on edge of last beat. We go to mountains to learn humility and forgiveness. My path is path of dying for all that exists. People are different and at same time so same. Even if we never succeed, at least we tried! Good luck!

Jax, I'm not interested in your stance at all, nor who is “guilty” for the troubles in Slovenia. This is a forum for people who visit the mountains and the topic here is about Covid and not politics. And I hope you won't let politics divide you. It depends on you.
We often come to different conclusions and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as it's about mountains. Although I must admit, I've wondered why we oppose each other so often. We'll have to go to the mountains together sometime and say something there. It'll hold better. nasmeh

Do you think this is right?

Wrote Aleksander Paglavec: "Parliament is getting a proposal for universal basic income for all religious officials, 700 € monthly for the epidemic time! Already now the state pays 100% of all monthly contributions, with the new package it should be paid 'indefinitely'! Shame and slap in the face to all craftsmen and entrepreneurs struggling to survive these times! Doesn't the Vatican have enough wealth to support them? Every company pays its workers and contributions for them. To our pensioners the government allocated from 300 to 130 € one-time bonus! I'm simply speechless... Shame!"

Explain to me once more, who's crazy here???

@ppegan The wealth of the Vatican is a myth, besides, financially it has little to do with the Slovenian church.

Secondly, if foreign religious buildings and foreign religious officials can be financed directly by foreign states in Slovenia, and no one complains, then no one should complain if the state partially finances the existing, domestic religious activity!

When I opened this thread in spring, I should have thought twice before. Yeah, nothing, I take full responsibility for opening mass nonsense. It seemed a shame to clutter all other threads... Jax and Drago, interesting thoughts. Polona - hm... My personal conviction in this life period is that you have to mock politics as much as possible, change things where you can (home, work). As long as every new PM jumps to kiss the Roman ring and bow to the Person in the same week after election, it's pointless to divide politics into left and right (if I understand correctly, one of the key division topics is the attitude towards the role of religion in the political sphere?). Lots of nature, and as little of that official crap. Personally, everyone knows what they believe and who they trust, which in the end is the only important thing.lp,Andrej

You're not crazy!
Slovenian RKC has so much wealth and regular annual-UNTAXED revenues (untaxed income from sold wood, rents from buildings, rents from leasing agricultural land, etc.), that it should regularly pay ALL salaries of its workers-clerics, nuns and others itself.
But since nothing is free (pre-election propaganda and supporting one party from the pulpit), we all Slovenians have to cover-pay this cow deal with taxes.
Think a bit also that under RKC fall church kindergartens, Zavod Svetega Stanislava, Gymnasiums, Homes for the elderly and last but not least Caritas.
Nicely check which party always, really always pushes its mantra that the state should pay all these things. But they never say that according to the CONSTITUTION church is separated from the state. So every "marriage" of state with church is actually unconstitutional.
All who will immediately sharpen your pens, I call on you to support your claims with constitution articles.

I know it's topical, thanks. But years ago I promised myself that on this forum I wouldn't write anything touching on topics that divide and anger us the fastest. At the same time, historically they pull out the heaviest, often the lowest and dirtiest emotions, words and actions from us. I'd rather not think about billions dead (for or because of the idea). I'm talking of course about politics and religion. Well, look at me nowzavijanje z očmi Let the forum stay connected to nature and our beautiful hills. Let's be clear. Christianity is also a foreign faith in Slovenia. Imported from the Levant. With fire and sword, no mistake.
