All registered religious communities are financed here. Maybe the Catholic one gets the most because it has the most believers, I don't know the exact key by which funds are distributed. But they also get money for Protestant, Orthodox, Muslim and all those churches imported from America like Mormons and such. And all the way to the most bizarre ones that hardly anyone has heard of, but they are registered. Regardless of whether we consider them foreign or not.
Now, given that there are more and more atheists, agnostics, members of many other unregistered communities, many who have purely personal spiritual practices... i.e. fewer and fewer members of traditional or registered religious communities and thus fewer users of their services, we could ask if as a society we are still willing to finance these churches or not?
Or maybe introduce some alternative. E.g. like in Austria and Germany, church tax, then let only members of these communities pay. Or abolish funding altogether and let them finance from voluntary contributions or something else.
In short, a matter of social discourse and consensus.

If you go far enough back in history, you can label anything foreign. Slovenes came from beyond the Carpathians for example. Christianity has been our dominant faith for centuries, and it's "native". We have it, let's maintain what we have. I'm not religious myself, but I'm for taking care of and maintaining these things. We all benefit from it, no one from malice.
Secondly, human history is a history of violence. Trying to disqualify one group on that basis is worrying, as it would disqualify all historical actors as unacceptable. With that you'd elevate yourself above it (human history), saying I'm better, even "beyond reproach", which in essence is nothing but repeating history.

Or, as the saying goes here, the smarter one quits  A while ago Primož sent me a friend request on FB, which under the impression of comments on this portal I didn't accept (back then I wasn't yet an active portal user, but just reading contents), and I see I did right, since his and my opinion differ like apples and pears. In these strange times these replies are a real spice for these strange evenings when nothing smart happens. Most bučkots keep us at home, we don't even wander the hills, so reading these pages is mostly quite fun.... After a couple of read pages of posts, I think it's crystal clear to everyone with average IQ who we agree with and who not...

I have a feeling that someone disinfected too much and besides the virus destroyed all cells a bit higher up. We know that one. Whoever is not with me is against me. Luckily we live in the 21st century and this happens only virtually and so luckily we are only virtually erased, otherwise question how it would end.
