Thanks also for the concern about internet and social networks. I don't use them, and not because I don't know how. I know pretty well where the traps are, since almost every device connected to the internet has doors wide open for scoundrels, otherwise we invite them in anyway.

Primož, not everything is in the instructions from politics. Much is also in healthy peasant common sense. Although masks greatly help reduce infection transmission in enclosed spaces where ventilation is poor and exhaled air concentration is high, this doesn't apply to outdoor environments. Quite the opposite. Breathing into a mask warms it, causing moisture from cold air to condense on the mask and around its contact with the face, which contributes to "sticking" of dust and particles that potentially contain virus too.
Basics of physics known also to Mr. Fafangl, who among other things opposed wearing masks outdoors from this perspective too.
Have a nice, safe, healthy and smart step

Well, Primož, I open Nova from time to time and skim the headlines, if there's maybe something smart. After all, they reveal some dirty tricks now and then but ruin it all with that tabloid style lower than Slovenske novice.
For example, article titled (don't remember exactly): "Kordiš's journalists caught with girlfriend when they knocked on his door" First, only police knock on doors like that, what were they doing there? And, come on, he brought the girl home. Would he need a boy to make an affair then? What do I care what he does at home and with whom.
But okay, Nova exaggerates, makes mountains out of molehills, is on the level of... um... bučkotov ... but at least obviously doesn't lie. Meanwhile 24ur is lie upon lie. Shame for Slovenian journalism. Don't even open those anymore.

Mask in hiking yes or no? Don't know, I wouldn't last with it up the hill or it'd be bad for me.
Encountering at a meter or less, if really just passing by, I think not problematic. If two stop for a talk then of course on their conscience to step at least two, three meters apart and possibly put on a mask too.
But something happened to me that might speak for it. While cycling (right in Primož's municipality), an older woman passes me on the path by Bistrica, (you know Primož where it's a bit elevated so can't avoid, right bank, a bit from Qlandia downstream then continues to Homec - there need to go slower) and just when I'm one, two meters from her - she sneezes!

Primoz, scroll back a few pages when I talked about the strain with different virulence here. Not boasting, cause I get nothing from it. Now of course media and politics got new bone to gnaw because of Italy and UK. Which was always among us, just officially could confirm it only now. Then you'll see why the fight against this invisible disease is almost doomed to failure in every case and why Mario as exceptional expert publicly allowed some freedom on Slavnik. Not because those Asians know so much more. But so that us normal people don't freak out, because the virus anyway has to do its thing until it leaves a devastated battlefield or until we corner it with some really proven and effective vaccine. Oh boy. If you're talking straight about the next years, then I'm pretty convinced that years of mask wearing and bans on human proximity will have a much bigger impact on the brain than the chance of occasional viral infection.

It seems stupid to me to drive 50 through the village. I easily go 80-90, even drunk sometimes. And never one problem, haven't hit anyone yet.
