Master, my comment was spot on. The social consensus has set the limit at 50. Why, I don't know. It doesn't interest me because I try to stick to the limits.

Sorry, didn't count on you and that you don't get it so quickly. Will try once more. Comment was meant as a reservation on all restrictions we have in life. On the road, in society and elsewhere. A few days ago masks outdoors still were required, today no more. That seems fine to me. I don't see the point of some bulls here mocking now if someone uses it.

Yes, my comment is mocking - your driving 80-90 through the settlement under the influence of alcohol is something completely normal. Restrictions, bans and shampoo warnings exist just because of such...

@gely: take it easy, take it easy, no getting upset. Breathe deeply in, out, in, out, ... it'll be fine. And why be offended like a little kid who isn't allowed something, if someone tells you to find a remedy for your troubles? If you're already taking something, sorry. You said you're done with me but since you broke it yourself, I'd ask you, what does karma have to do with prostitution?

I completely get the point @s7nf. Speed alone doesn't cause accidents in principle, there has to be some other violation too. If speed is low, consequences of such violation are smaller or there are none. Similar to masks, not necessarily something wrong if you don't have one but if you're infected (unaware), or the other is, it might. And on a mountaineering forum we discuss helmets and self-belay kits. That's an even better analogy. Yes, similar, even there some say it's unnecessary gear.

@djimuzl I get you, you're right, it's not appropriate. But I wasn't thinking of you, but deniers of all possible measures. My point is, as a society we agree on some measures and fuck it and carry on. By spring 2021 no more talk of corona, people massively ski touring, huts happily open is that so hard (rhetorical question)?

Primoza, yesterday there was another good movie, Who's That Singing Over There. Even though the bus was stopped, the conductor didn't let the hunter on because the stop was 200m ahead. He said "rules are rules".

Now Egg is health minister himself, he'll fix it so we'll be fit and healthy. Otherwise of course I think it'll get worse. Soon you'll see Erjavc laughing at you when you're the only one jumping around with that mask

It's not just about monitoring the situation. It's about insight into the matter. Why do politically led stories repeat, even though politics (and health) basically has no real idea or solution? Did closing Wuhan and China stop the virus? Will closing GB (for air traffic!)? Will the new test that Pfizer etc. develops for big money for half a year show exclusively infections with new strain? Until new mutation? New vaccine? New epidemic with another respiratory virus? What are people in Wuhan doing today (hint - Google - Wuhan party - second choice offered right away)? Have they changed because of virus? Closed those disgusting markets that probably released this crap into world because they have to eat every living being and horribly catch/store/kill first? As Dr.ejči hints many times and many who care for nature and our beautiful planet. The real virus is us. As long as we exist, we'll slaughter for every scrap; burn all world's forests to the last; destroy all ice and oceans of both poles for black riches; scrape sea bottom to last live fish; irrigate private golf course amid worst California drought; chase sharks, penguins and polar bears where they belong - to Smithsonian;... Oh, and before that we'll investigate and argue to death which option in power is guilty. The human one.

@primoza: They have a bit fewer human 'rights' and a bit more order when needed. In China party just says: it will be this way! If not then wall and shoot or re-education camp.

No, one could debate about how nicely the Singaporeans live, who aren't allowed to move from their island, while guest workers have been locked in camps and fitted with tracking bracelets. And the Chinese with their all-encompassing system of tracking movement at every step too. But okay. Otherwise, Primož has already admitted a bit higher up that he himself sometimes doesn't follow recommendations if they seem stupid to him. The only thing I'm wondering now is, on what basis he can then declare others as fools who shit against the wind.

Yep, Daam, exactly that Matrix segment I had in mind. Nope, Primož, Chinese and Singaporeans aren't living nicely onwards. Jax already said it. Some are lucky with a virus that has a low transmission rate. Others transition to a computer-generated caste system based on 5G obedience index (Sims described one piece, of course the system is much more branched; ask millions whose everything was seized, including all relatives preventively, just for e.g. such an innocent political joke as we mention here on the forum). And ask them what the real Chinese death number is (multiply by at least 10 for a real estimate). We can make an internal bet, although I don't like it at the expense of foreign lives. I bet that the statistics of no country (most and least strict) at the end of 2021 won't be significantly different if you take into account the level of healthcare in each country, age/comorbidities of sick/dead and virulence level of dozens of different Covid strains. Or in Slovenia it will be significantly higher than all others or significantly lower. Depending on which media will trumpet the loudest then and in which direction. p.s. Majda, your stuff is awesome to me. Keep up the good work

No, I didn't say that mortality depends on political option. I said that mortality will be highlighted in the media in the way that suits the then political option and the supportive media apparatus. Statistics is an elastic band that you can pull in any direction. Regarding articles. I know I'm believing in Santa Claus. Doesn't matter. Check with an open-hearted peer reviewer how much the actual truthfulness of the performed statistics and data is checked in these articles, especially if the author is a respected and prominent figure. Or how much a meta-analysis of already existing articles into a new article really means, which is then accepted as a professional guideline. That's why everything was treated with chloroquine half a year ago. And every one of those other doctors was ready to bet his head that it cures you significantly faster. Now God forbid giving that medicine to anyone. Solid, existing data that shows the real reality - meta-analysis after ten or twenty years. That is - in 2030. Regarding sports activities - isn't it interesting that during the anthem for 2 min footballers strictly keep 2m distance (and the world applauds), then for 90 minutes they tackle each other in all possible ways (and the world applauds again). Yep...

Mah, what do I know. My comments are slowly just bla, bla, bla too... The article says it nicely. More layers, better quality layers - lower chance of virus transmission. More layers, better quality layers - lower chance that people will want to use such a mask in practice. And we're exactly where we are. In the real world.
