Ex, oh no! Now you've opened the window and the von A. virus has jumped to that forum too.

As for Bojan, I feel sorry for him. I wish he could somehow correct the mistake. His private forum is (at least for me) a source of numerous carefully prepared and useful data about mountains!! Unlike some like-hungry posters and trolls on this forum who leave only mess and quarrels behind.

It's not that funny. Doctors abroad have long known that thoughts, emotions, feelings,... can greatly affect whether a person gets sick or not, or if they do, how the disease progresses. We've heard of 'psychosomatic' illnesses, right? Negative emotions (anger, stress, sadness, ...) are the cause of many diseases today that appear purely organic (cancer, heart attack, diabetes, ...).

The patient's thoughts (positive or negative) are very important in the course of the disease. After all, why do they always form a second group with placebo in drug trials? And how many times has placebo helped cure a patient? Helped, I wrote, not necessarily cured!

Here, they were dinosaurs just a couple of decades ago and God forbid anyone interferes with their exclusively traditionally conceived medicine where every specialist looks only at their own organ and nothing else, i.e., they don't treat the body as a unit and the connections between organs and also the connection with mentality, thoughts, emotions...

Yeah, then their positions would shake. God forbid they stop being one of the few European countries where alternative medicine is not recognized. Where would we end up if some alternativists now treat certain diseases better than them. Their monopoly would collapse or they'd have to adapt to the new reality which is hard again. All this because of privileges, positions, profit,... That's why opposition to euthanasia too,...

Traditional medicine treats some things better, alternative others. The latter especially things mostly connected with emotions, thoughts, beliefs,... and where traditional medicine only relieves symptoms. E.g. allergies, psychoses (even schizophrenia can supposedly be cured), impotence (as long as it's not a consequence of organic damage i.e. e.g. vascular disease, no one will tell me a healthy 20, 30 year old guy is just impotent),...

In diseases of mixed organic-mental nature, it can at least alleviate symptoms, in purely organic ones (injuries, fractures, ...) of course nothing helps (maybe temporarily relieves pain).

That's true, Van, but you don't achieve that by telling yourself we all have to love each other and we'll be healthy.
Either you are like that or not, no high-flying wishes help there.
(By the way, it turned out that self-affirmation how strong you are and oh la la, which folk psychologists promoted years ago, even harms, not just doesn't help.)

Don't fall for it. I found out that the decree on entering the store only in gloves and protective mask is a plain scam. I'm still ashamed that I fell for it. Embarrassment for two generations back.

@SamoK: that's true! If you want to force yourself to acquire that mindset, the belief that nothing can harm you, it can only be worse, since if you're forcing it, that just means you really don't have it.

But it's not true that whatever you are, that's it. Some are just born with such natural awareness or it's the result of positive upbringing or other previous life circumstances. But it can be fixed with the right lifestyle, change of mindset and acquiring positive thought patterns as well as spiritual skills. It's never too late to start.

Mazzini sometimes writes something good (or, to be honest, HAS written), but this one is completely off.
The trait of self-righteousness is known elsewhere too, not just in Slovenia, and especially has nothing to do with any epidemic. It has been nicely present since forever (or at least as far as my memory reaches). It is really a bit annoying, but realistically there aren't particularly many really annoying self-righteous people. In general, Slovenes are quite tolerant.

On a walk like in the mountains

I'm an enthusiastic hiker. I adore the mountains. Summer and winter. Hills, mountains and rocky peaks. Every year I spend a few days among the peaks of neighboring countries too. But I love domestic ranges the most. Which I know. There's nothing better than looking from the top over our beautiful homeland and recognizing the peaks rising above it. I know them. Most from close up. I can name them.
These days I observe them only from afar. From daily walks that are still allowed. I've started noticing that all walkers feel like some kind of hikers. Namely, we all greet each other. The nice habit characteristic of mountain paths has moved closer, to the valley. City dwellers have caught it too. As if we want to tell each other that everything will be fine. Maybe now we just notice each other more, when we're no longer staring only at our phones. That's also a big change I've noticed. No one has a mobile in hand anymore. We all want to soak up the sun rays, bird song, river murmur and speak to passersby. Even if only from afar and just a greeting.
Stay well!
