Exactly, just one thing: never ever with poles strap over hand so you can drop pole immediately. Always when walking in snow.

@mirank - Also downhill walking, dry or snow, no straps. Happened to me on slip, pole stuck, luckily didn't dislocate shoulder.

Yesterday, 4 Jan, I took the train to Podbrdo and headed from there towards Črna prst. Snow whitened the valley only lightly, above 1300 m there was a bit more. Below the summit, past the saddle, it was frozen, so I used crampons for the final ascent part.
On top it was windy, felt around -10 °C, so I snacked in the winter room and then headed back to the valley. Descended past the small village Bače pri Podbrdu, ended the route at Slap cabin where they serve excellent trout.
Nice fitness winter tour.

In the morning from the Bohinj side to Črna prst, I returned by another path and then back on the road to the starting point. The road under Soriška planina is ok, because they repaired it. The paths are mowed. By car I went back to Davča and on the macadam road to Črni kal under Blegoš. This road seems closed with a sign, but you can go. The descent in Suš, the road is fixed.

Yesterday a nice, partially circular path past Orožnova koča to Rušni vrh, Črna prst and Lisec. The path to Lisec is not marked but is nicely traceable.

Hi!
What's going on with the camera. Since Saturday 1. 8. it's in fog. Maybe the "party" around the hut affected something, and they covered the camera or redirected it to the wall?
