I was on Viševnik and really enjoyed the sun, as did most of the rest of Slovenia. You just had bad luck.velik nasmeh]]>

With my wife we were up there on Saturday, at a fairly slow pace it took us good 2.5 hours. Hail as thick as hazelnuts started falling just as we arrived at the hut to eat something... zavijanje z očmi]]>

, which was first forecast around noon, then only after 2 pmcool.
Sadly this time none of those desired peaks that have been circling in my head for some time... haha, and on the list too, came up todayvelik nasmeheek. Well, maybe during the week it will be different.
The group with whom I've been arranging a mountain meetup for some time chose the well-known Gorenjska balcony for our first mountain goalnasmeh. OK, let's go up again... after more than two months.
This time we chose the morning start at Žegnan studenecnasmeh. The path is really pleasant and of course unmarked, but still followablevelik nasmeh. First we ascend along the cart track by the stream, then it narrows into a nice forest path. We cross the macadam road a few times, later join it and don't leave it until the junction where the steep cart track continues another 100 m or so to Lešanska planina. We join another path that comes from Brezje near Tržič and ascends steeply. The sign VRH DOBRČE convinces us to slowly and steadily climb the nice path to the summitnasmeh. To the summit the path, full of daphnes and spring flowers, still drags a lot for meeekcool, but this time I persisted to the endnasmeh.... and finally arrived at the Dobrča summitvelik nasmeh. We weren't alone, but it was still fun. The view from here satisfied appetites.. okay, at least mine. The view of the Julian Alps doesn't reveal the desired... yeah, again it's involved... hehe, rainvelik nasmeheek. After about half an hour we head to Šentanski vrh, where there are noticeably more of us. Žiga unfortunately isn't at the summitzmedenmrk pogled, so today only photos are relevant. The sun despite surrounding clouds doesn't give up and pleasantly warms usnasmeh. Of course we decide on a quick visit to the hut to check if Milan's kitchen is still as good as we're used tomežikanje. On the way there we cross Podgorska planina, where our eyes can rest looking at the blooming greenery. This time mountain gentians prevailnasmeh, full everywhere. Excellent struklji satisfy our bellies, which we fill just before the main rain batch. It accompanied us from Lešanska planina onwards and quite soaked useek.

Despite the rain and "short" hike we had a good time. I'm happy that I finally made it to two summits within Dobrčanasmeh. My stubbornness paid off this time. I'll return, but next time somewhere else. There are of course plenty of approaches, so exploring continuesjezikmežikanje.]]>

I would rather hike this path in summer since it is very shady, so most of it runs through the forest. But it is also nice in autumn. On the path I met ONLY five hikers. But when I arrived at the Dobrča hut, everything was different. Many hikers, many dogs, many cyclists, and even a car in front of the hut I saw.
I wanted to photograph the hut just as it is, but it didn't work. The car was in the way. And don't think I'm some old grumbler to whom nothing is good, but at 1600 m a car really doesn't belong in front of the hut. I know it was the best-rated mountain hut in Slovenia even twice, but the car still doesn't belong in front of the hut.
Back to the Draga valley I went via the gully to Ledena trata planina and further to the farmstead in Draga.]]>

We went directly from Brezje near Tržič. To the takeoff mostly without special features. Here and there we noticed some fallen tree in the forest, on the path only lots of small spruce twigs. From the takeoff onwards more fallen trees, a bit of "sugar dusting" was already visible too. From the weekend up towards the summit devastation. Often had to make "detours" due to huge fallen (better said completely uprooted) spruces lying across the path. Some fallen are those with markings painted on them, also the one with the (still there) signpost to Lešanska planina. Quite a few hours of work will be needed until the path is like before.

Snow towards the summit is about 5-10 cm. If a strong wind were blowing, we would probably turn back. Who knows how much more is broken in the crowns up there, which will fall down with the next stronger wind. But it was almost windless, at the summit the sun even shone for a moment.

To the take-off site mostly without features...1
...just above it (look back) the first signs of devastation...2
This is how the wind uprooted them...3
...and broken...4
Immeasurable power of nature...5
Right on the path it laid it...6
Here though...as if the wind had a little less power...and only half-finished...7
Several such with painted markers fell...8
When no smart bypasses were in sight, straight through the head...crown of the fallen spruce...9
What a huge and strong root system, yet it was still uprooted...10
Usually you need to look higher up to notice them...today it wasn't necessary...11
This one too, with the signpost to Lešansko planino, is felled...12
But the wind couldn't do anything to the larch cones... or did it spare them? They are all nicely in their places...13
At the top... for a moment even the sun peeked out... and the day was immediately even nicer... :-)14

Yesterday at the top of Dobrča before sunrise. Start at Bistriška planina, where there is still no snow, but then it starts very soon and the elevation rises relatively quickly, so at Lešanska planina we are already substantially wading. Although we made the trail, the strong wind has probably already completely erased it. At the top winter idyll, about 30cm of snow, in hollows one can sink up to the waist. Some trouble on the path is caused by fallen trees lying directly across the path - but with some ingenuity one can get over (or around) them. Otherwise a wonderful cold morning and super views.

Some glimpses from Dobrča past three planinas. Wind gradually eased, but when it gusted, had to pull hat well over ears. Predecessors' tracks the rascal also wiped out and had to bushwhack anew. Most snow from Lešanska planina on, sometimes sinking to knees in stop-stand-sink system. Unsettled, crusty on top. Today no rock climbing, but tree climbing. Fallen trees on path from Lešanska planina to summit.

To Dobrča hut from Begunje. Snow starts a bit below the shack. On this path no snowdrifts, no fallen trees either. Whole way thinking if I can snap the hut without a car. Succeeded! Gift to starikapi.

With granddaughter and friends to Dobrča. From Brezje direct to Dobrča, then to Šentanski vrh, to hut and down past Lešanska and Bistriška planina. Path mostly bare, only from Dobrča top to Šentanski vrh some ice. After days of bad weather, finally sun and nice views, only Košuta ridge mostly in fog.

Anyone been to Dobrča after last snowfall? What's the trail from Brezje like and how passable to Dobrča summit?
Thanks for reply and HAPPY HIKING on all trails in 2014.

fiky,
today was on the Dobrča summit. Did a loop: Brezje pri Tržiču (677m) - Bistriška planina (1060m) - Lešanska planina (1450m) - Dobrča (1634m) - Koča na Dobrči (1478m) - Brezje pri Tržiču

went without crampons (and gaiters too) and it was fine. Beyond Bistriška planina the road was no longer bare. Noticeably more snow from just before Lešanska planina on open ground. But well-trodden trail. Snow to summit of course, but got there no problem. From summit to hut super trodden, same to Brezje. For tomorrow crampons almost advisable and probably gaiters.

At Brezje start today no plowed parking, so left car at Sv. Neža church below road. Since better trodden, headed to Bistriška planina. Few fallen trees and walking no issue, but all on road. From Bistriška planina only footprints - holes to Breška planina, then off-piste. Went a bit, soon too much snow. Snowshoes or skis needed.
