When I was there, there was a clearly visible closure sign at the start of the via ferrata. Maybe it fell off in the meantime.

maybe I wasn't looking in the right direction, but there was no closure sign neither at the V nor at the Z entrance ... no harm if people are warned

It would be a shame for today's day if we didn't use it for a hike on the coast. So Barbara, Matej, Tinky and I headed to ferrata Bruno Biondi and crossing via Comici ridge in Glinščica river valley. Nice weather, without a breath of wind that would have been welcome, ... we met quite a few hikers.

Today the VGN section PD Škofja Loka made a beautiful tour in the Natural Regional Reserve of Glinščica Valley. Start was at Socerb Castle. Followed a beautiful path along the Karst edge high above the valley. Weather was beautiful and we admired Trieste below. We walked past climbing crags. We also viewed the little church of St. Mary at Peče. Then down a steep path and past the waterfall to Botač settlement. We finished already in Slovenia in Beka village.

Today's search for nice weather... mežikanje
Up Comici ridge, then to Gradišče summit and past exceptional viewpoint on paths no.1 and 25 back to the river. Followed ascent on mini-ridge to viewpoint above Zabrežec and again descent to parking in Boljunec.
Weather rather wet, windy, smile from gathered asparagus sweet. velik nasmeh

On Friday with wife climbed all three ferratas, BB, Nos and Zimska roža, which with ascents and descents are all worthy of respect.
BB is officially (still) closed due to pulled out peg, but the section can be bypassed, and nothing suggests it will change anytime soon. Obviously ferratas not maintained properly, as shown by the state of the cable on one of the more difficult descents.

I wouldn't risk it, Italians still very strict and fines very high or they prosecute offenders.

You can get down to Glinščica from Kozina along the bike path on the old railway route. No border control of course, but how safe it is, both legally and ultimately health-wise, is another question.

I don't recommend climbing in Glinščica right now (and apart from us I haven't seen anyone doing it either), it's too hot. But that's why it's currently an even nicer place for swimming.
