Yesterday I decided to visit Gradiška Tour. I went up via Furlanovi; it was nice with nice, but not divine views over the beautiful Vipava Valley. The spring scenery is awakening. In a few days everything will be in bloom. I continued past the chapel and over Plaz back to Tura camp!

On Friday, in sunny weather, first via Furlanova for warm-up, after short descent also via Otmarjeva. By feel maybe somewhat too exposed, otherwise really nicely routed path.

Warning: On Furlan path at the height of the viewpoint a larger stone is stuck behind the cable and poses great danger to all climbers. Otherwise more stones are observed in the area that climbers dislodge when descending the gully after finishing climbing in the sport climbing route of the neighboring pillar. If no suitable solution against falling stones is found here, we can sooner or later expect new accidents.

On Sunday late afternoon it still wasn't there.. Just that part seems to me the most dangerous due to falling rocks. Gradiški "bottle neck"

As Santino also nicely wrote the most dangerous on Gradiška Tour is the gully by the viewpoint. The only permanent solution is drilling a new part of the climbing path which would branch off vertically up before the gully and thus bypass the critical section and save quite some dangerous work for mountain rescuers.

12.1.2020 on Gradiška tour via Furlan path. Start only after lunch. Weather sunny, some wind only at top. Excellently secured path. Views all the time fantastic - to Vipava valley, Čaven, Italian Alps and at top surprise - also view on Triglav. Rocks dry with good grip and lots of natural holds. At top just before sunset. Descent circular and at car already in pitch darkness. Really nice afternoon.

Vipava Civil Protection has prohibited the use of both very demanding paths on Gradiška Tour, namely Furlan Path and Otmar Path. Also prohibited is the use of both climbing crags within Vipava Mountaineering Association (Tour area) and Bela. Measure effective from 21 March 2020 until further notice. Lokalne Ajdovščina

You can tell the easing of crossing municipal borders but not crazy yet. If possible avoid weekends  good luck!

Last Saturday with cloudy weather parking lot was full (not packed). So this weekend with great forecast surely crowd at parking, as always on nice spring days in Vipava Valley.

On Wednesday after very long time back in Primorska. Didn't have much time so only did Furlan Path. Otmar one surely soon. Temps incredibly high for Feb, at car 24 degrees on return. No crowd morning, later masses of climbers on all paths. Several times falling rocks thundered near us.
