Yesterday was a nice sunny day, which we haven't had in our parts for a good while. Right in the morning I jumped to check how it was on Nanos. On the way home my fingers itched and I decided to see if all the pegs and cables on Gradiška t. were still in place. I was a bit surprised, as there was more snow than expected, so I had to be pretty careful moving around.

We with the group also set off again yesterday morning first to the top of Gradiška Tour and then continued to Abram. Conditions ideal, really a bit harder than last Saturday, as there's some fallen snow that's already melting. At the top it was 11 degrees, spring-like. As mentioned, we climbed the climbing, very demanding path, then continued.

And suddenly during the hike, we come face to face with a huge shaggy bear. He immediately showed he's the boss, snorted through his snout, reared up on hind legs and growled,....

LUCKILY THERE WAS..., AN IRON FENCE BETWEEN US AND HIM.

On the way back, we walked the path where a few hours before us the bear had gone towards Abram-there were bear tracks-this one wasn't in a cage.

Then we understood why the bear at
Abram was so restless-probably smelled that a bear was wandering around.

So the bear's hibernation is over.

The shaggy one was already walking between the Tour and Abram last Sunday...

Yesterday we climbed Gradiška Tour via the easier variant and continued the path to Abram. Conditions are ideal, rock dry and temperature already spring-like. I would warn that on the path from the top of G.t. to Abram, (somewhere in the middle) orientation is somewhat difficult as there are very few trail markers. Return we did via Konj towards Podnanos and connected to the gravel road that crosses the slope towards the church of St. Nicholas and then on the well-marked path to the starting point. No bears on the pathvelik nasmeh

On Saturday my colleague and I did the ascent to Gradiška Tour (climbing section). Due to wet terrain, it was slippery in places, so caution wasn't superfluous.
We continued the path to Abram, somewhere halfway there, tree felling is ongoing, so probably fewer trail markers (probably were on the cut trees), we stuck to the track where the timber extraction goes, then again found markers.
At Abram we refreshed a bit, greeted the shaggy one, and headed further to Vojak hut on Nanos.
After good goulash, we returned on the path towards Podnanos. A bit below the Hunters' hut we branched right towards St. Nicholas (well marked), and continued on the nice gentle path to the starting point under Gradiška Tour.

Today we climbed Gradiška tour via Furlan path. I'm glad that in this part of Slovenia you find such a route that even some of the "big" peaks of the Julian or Kamnik-Savinja Alps wouldn't be ashamed of.

Cables are in excellent condition, as are pegs and brackets. The viewpoint platform is even better than in photos. Weather was ideal - even though speed on highway to Vipava was limited to 60km/h due to wind, it was completely calm in the wall, not even blowing on top. Sun greeted us only continuing towards Abram and Vojak hut, where it was already quite strong and some UV protection cream really doesn't hurt.

Today's nice weather tempted us and so we decided to head to Vipava and ascend and descend via Furlan path. Despite previous heavy rains, the rock was completely dry, path not muddy, on top a bit of bora wind. In short, the right choice!mežikanje

Cloudy weather and fog didn't bother us on the ascent to Gradiška tour. Several groups were going up the Furlan ferrata. Upper part of the path needs to be a bit more careful, due to wet leaves and slippery rocks. The fog-shrouded summit was too small today for all who were heading up.

Today we went on Gradiška tour via Furlan climbing path and then circular via Plaz back to starting point in Gradišče. Weather clear with some haze, very warm, no bora, protections fine. Between top of Gradiška tour and Plaz there are here and there really just individual snow remnants. Rock and entire path dry. Really ideal conditions.

Today I "climbed" Furlan for the first time. Weather wasn't the best (quite windy), but I enjoyed some via ferrata and pegs again. Unfortunately on descent via circular path I lost my camera. If by chance it's found, I'd be very happy. Otherwise the morning trip to Vipava and surroundings will remain a nice memory.

On Sunday we did the same tour with descent over Konj. Wouldn't talk about strong wind, but true we started after lunch. Parking under the trail was fully occupied and most routes in the wall too as I quickly counted over 30 climbers. Ideal weather for caressing dry and already pleasantly warmed rocks.

Today to Gradiška Trail, going up Furlanovi gor and easier back. No sunshine no wind either. Going to Abram to see the bear what a big lump it is, then back. A bit before Gradiška Trail on return from Abram I spot two chamois, but they don't let themselves be photographed. Path nicely protected. Met only one older gentleman, probably tomorrow Gradiška Trail will be more visited. Nice greetings to all

For the end of my weekend hiking around Vipava valley I climbed also Gradiška trail (easier variant).

On one hand I was a bit at the end of condition and maybe smart to do this trail at start, on other hand nice end of mountaineering weekend.

On path (already after chimneys just before paths join) met boy and girl descending this path. Since no gear probably not from climbing. Girl walking slowly and hesitantly and clear she was scared. Each step torture. And before all chimneys and exposed ledges, so mentally hardest parts. He gave impression he masters and tried to lead her. Well, hope they got down safely.

After paths join expected per timetable which is bit unrealistic quite fast end. But towards end dragged a lot or I was zero energy.

Descended past chapel and over Plaz. When from top to forest nice evening started, birds chirping, peace, nice gentle path to chapel,... Really nice walk fitting after brutal rock. mežikanje

We also not before afternoon, and even then not "complete", so used chance to go with younger daughter practice self-belaying a bit. On ascent unpleasant combo of high humidity and heat almost knocked us zadrega, but didn't give up, and "saving" wind appeared towards top...nasmeh Gradiška trail today afternoon rather deserted, on whole ascent path met no one, on descent easier path one who barely climbed... protections still excellent, path perfectly marked, we satisfied with today's "harvest" nasmeh

Last week took our teenage granddaughter first time into cables. She did well, at end enthusiastic. Few more easier we'll climb, then she wants Hanzova to M. Mojstrovka.

Bravo legenda! That's how to do with young. Although name "Hanzova path" evokes awe is my opinion Gradiška trail harder than Hanzova in Mala Mojstrovka and maybe even from Kredarica to Triglav...
