I think everyone will know which peak. It's a shame I was too early on Wednesday at Košutnikov turn so that we meet in person once.

From your writing I conclude I'm not exactly the dearest to your heart... So I really don't know why you want to meet me in person .

It started here. See current conditions, KS, Kriška gora/Tolsti vrh, p. 4. I've just messed up... ! Otherwise no panic.

Tinky, was there still any snow from the summit towards Cojzova hut? Judging by your photos, there shouldn't be any.

On the western side there was still a little, but I think there's none left now. Even then it was possible over the scree below it.

Kalška gora is actually just one little tooth above Kokrško sedlo, but so pleasant and with such views that I've already sat up there and will do so again. Many probably skip or overlook it, since goals nowadays are aimed at Grintovec, Kočne, Skuta and other giants, and in winter it's not quite friendly. From Kokrško sedlo you need to push for another less than an hour, a bit on screes, a bit (a lot) on rubble, on ledges that are then adorned with pegs, higher up a cable. First pass it below, then along the ridge (which can be very unpleasant when wet, proven unpleasant in snow) back to the top. From there, as befits, we gaze at the giants from below upwards under their wings... Today a pleasant day for hiking, not as hot as previous days, and breeze tousled the hair. Breeze too...

Every time we were drawn to Kokrsko sedlo, we always looked only at the giants of KSA; we didn't pay much attention to Kalš Mountain. Even when we walked along Kalški greben, we looked at Kalš Mountain somehow "from above", but unjustifiably. Today we stepped on the mountain for the first time. Started at Suhadolnik and then past Cojzova hut climbed to the top. What can I say? Kalš Mountain isn't a mountain of superlatives, at least height-wise, though approaches from the valley are quite long. The path from Cojzova hut is pleasant, in summit part despite some protections, we can't as we say have hand in pocket. What counts most are fantastic views. Kalš Mountain is, as predecessor said, really exceptional viewpoint. Surely we'll visit it again.

Has anyone been recently on the path Krvavec-Zvoh-Vrh Korena-Kalški Greben-Kalška gora-Dolga Njiva pasture - Krvavec? What's the condition of the path? Snow? Loose rocks? Dangerous sections and passages?

On the path Ambrož pod Krvavcem_Krvavec-Mali Zvoh-Dolga Njiva pasture-Kalški greben there are no issues. You cross only two-three short snow patches, where no winter gear is needed, as the terrain is flat and among pines. From Mali Zvoh you lose only a few elevation meters to Dolga Njiva. We didn't go to Kalška gora. Best, Matjaž

Yesterday I did a loop tour Krvavec-Dolga Njiva-Kalški Greben-Kalška gora-Kalce-Vrh Korena-Košutna-Planina Koren... As Matjaž says, there are a few short unproblematic snow patches from Škrbina towards Kalški Greben. From Kalški Greben to Kalška gora the path is dry but quite demanding (among other things, you need to climb a 10-15m vertical wall, otherwise excellently secured, other protections on this path also in good condition). The return path over Kalce also has some larger snow patches that can be easily bypassed. But you need to watch to find the trail at the other end of the snow patches. I didn't and continued off-trail, which can be quite annoying as karst terrain is very rugged.

Redbull there are still two snowfields, otherwise they can be avoided by going around them lower Regards

Yes, either under them or take the lower path. Further all dry at least to top of KG.
