At that time my companion and I were at Veliki Kladivo. I remember it was minus 14 degrees in Tržič, higher up inversion did its thing, so we returned in shirts only.

Kofce today a bit different. Rainy and foggy day. Weather changes a bit below the hut and rain turns to snowflakes nasmeh

Nice Sunday on Kofce Mountain after long winter but still in hills snow meters deep in places maybe even two so snow will hold another month or two.

Today better weather was forecast for Kofce. But it was all fog. From the hut at Kofce no track anymore towards Veliki vrh. We with colleague tried a bit to break trail but had to turn back soon after junction for Kofce gora due to extremely poor visibility. Here extensive avalanche debris starts. In places sinks over knees. Need to wait for better weather.

Not even the camera came out of the backpack to this cross above the hut on Kofce.

Today I went on a short ski tour to Kofce, half-ill.
Snow starts already at Sp. Ljubelj and there is quite a lot there. New snow at Mamovec is only about 5 cm, higher at Kofce around 25-30 cm. Morning snow was still completely dry, later in the sun it quickly became crusty, but not completely. Today to Kofce only three tourers and one snowshoer, so paths not well packed yet. Below with boot sinks extra because layers not fully bonded and hardened. Currently skis or snowshoes suitable for walking. Avalanche debris at two spots under Kladivo and Pungarska gora exactly at the previous old spot without old snow base. Otherwise higher snow holds everywhere without load, some visible cracks. With forecasted thaw the scenario on Košuta will be completely different. Downhill below average (some places better), but still nice descent as we skied longer old forest Ljubelj path. Afternoon weather deteriorated quickly, near Ljubljana first drops from sky. Lp!

For the last day of potato holidays we used the weather and went to Kofce where hikers were plenty, wonderful weather. At the end also to Dovžan gorge, ...

Today for a change with a colleague. Plan only to Kofce, but the weather tempted us and we went on to Kofce mountain. Don't forget to mention the guy at the cross who told us the path is well trodden, so we headed to the top. Didn't feel like going further to Veliki vrh as there was a crowd, so we turned around and went back to Kofce, since the snow got crusty and started to break through. Crampons gripped well in the morning and are welcome nasmeh

15.2.2017. On Gora above Kofce after 10:00 no point doing anything (or wait for sth below you to peel off). Till then good trackable over 3 fresh afternoon slabs. From parking, cos further only snow n ice on road. From farm up on well trodden the small ones ain't nothing wrong, cos partly frozen.
