From Jelendol by car along the road as far as it goes, but didn't get far. Park and head on foot towards Kofce, first straight up my way, later pick up markers. To Kofce snowdrifts in places, around hut and to cross above Kofce blown clean. Didn't meet or see anyone. View on Košuta ridge worrying. Plan was along ridge to Kofce peak, return down some gully if conditions ok. At cross gave up no doubts, sight of those cliffs put me off ascent. Windy, cold soon back same way.

Today at Kofce despite lenticular clouds beautiful day.
Snow on Matizovec drifted 25cm, at midnight stopped. At night avalanches from Košuta disturbed sleep at Matizovec. First I break trail to start of junction to Kofce peak ridge. Behind me delayed Bojan arrives, his car below skidded into ditch on ice, locals helped. Snow at Kofce 135cm, higher above 1600m sinks with ski boots decently over knee. Snow fantastic, completely dry, so on descent we swam in it. For Bojan snow perfect for training, so we improved torso height drop in knees, posture too back, knee movement on turn up down which wasn't there, aligned leg width on turn, and in turn removed jerky jump replaced with light even springy weight shift on legs. For serious mountains God forbid, but practice makes master. Later some hikers up and two border collies with tails. Down possible to ski past some haymakers under Matizovec. Where avalanched, ice slabs visible below, some windpacked too but not much, lp

This morning to Kofce. Path excellent-well trodden. Unfortunately foggy. Plenty of visitors though.

I went only to the bench above Kofce and sat there but soon dark clouds gathered and I slowly descended to the valley.

Today we went a bit for sun and struklji to the mountain hut on Kofce. In the upper part it's icy in places, so I recommend crampons.

What luck we had to head to this destination today, given the closure
That we headed here was due to the rush on Golica, where there was no more parking at 9am (Planina pod G.), so we turned around and went to explore this end a bit.
No narcissus on top, but meadows of dandelion flowers in thousands! All yellow 
Path very nicely marked, maintained. Steepness doesn't let up almost to the end, up top today windless, hut closed (as expected until 15.6.), Košuta ridge completely bare, KSA from S side still quite snowy, Storžič from S side also some patches. Stol also still some snow in the gully before the main summit (visible from E side).

From Matizovec, a bit to stretch legs, feel the snow and walk the dog. And of course for super struklji
I'm also glad that people took distancing seriously and even their cars can't get infected.
