nasmehThe path is nicely trodden, as seen on pic 10, in the afternoon thaw, I alone on the way back used small crampons for a better feel. If you step off the trodden path, you can sink nicely, otherwise there were no peculiarities on the path this timenasmehOf course conditions can now change from day to day, but the experience of white Komna is really nicenasmehAnd much enjoyment to all who head to Komnanasmeh

Potka, how much time did you take for the path in these conditions?

One of the options for the upcoming weekend is Komna. Since I don't have snowshoes, can someone tell me if it's possible without them. Thanks and best regardsnasmeh

You'll need crampons sooner, as it's fully trodden to the hut and beyond.

On Saturday the 12th crampons weren't needed, but in the morning it was quite slippery and small crampons wouldn't be superfluous. If they're in the backpack, they're not so heavy that you couldn't carry them both ways. mežikanje

Saturday parking at Savica was bursting at the seams, but I managed to squeeze the little horse into one spotvelik nasmeh
The walk through approx. 40 zigzags passed quickly and the real winter fairy tale began at the Komna hut, from where I continued past the hut below Bogatin all the way to Bogatin saddle, where I greeted Krn and the other winter-dressed neighbors.
Weather was fantastic, reached the saddle without anythingvelik nasmeh (read: without snowshoes or skis), recommend gaiters and poles.
Day was perfect, sun traces still more than obvious on my face todayeek

Today made a new track from Savica to Komna. Upper third awful, first sink to shins in new snow, then (not always) underlying old snow breaks and you're in a hole to the end.

Up top (Bogatinsko sedlo, etc.) nothing trampled. But on way back met about 10 people on path to Komna, so now at least this path is decently trampled.

For these conditions snowshoes are ideal, but for me they're a different concept thing.

Started from Dom na Komni at 8, returned to the hut around 13 (means about 5 hours with breaks), then still about an hour and a half descent to Koča pri Savici!!
It was really beautiful! nasmeh
