Yesterday at Komna. Rime from fog in three days sparkled in sun that day. Path great, no ice, downhill pure pleasure, could ski without skis all to Savica. Wonderful day!

mojcika can you please tell me... is the path to Komna nice? Is the whole path well trodden... no wading? It will probably stay like that till Sunday... no snow forecasted? thanks for your info

On Sunday we were up there and can say firsthand it's a real highway to the Komna hut, not even a track but compacted by touring skis about more than a meter. Very pleasant and nice hike, and weather was nice-sunny (despite bad forecast).

What's the condition further from Komna? Mainly had in mind the path from Bogatin towards Krn Lakes? Thanks for answers!!

Freeapproved guys were hiking around there (www.freeapproved.com) or read posts on TK (www.turni-klub-gora.si), under conditions (I think).

I'm also interested in conditions for hiking to Bogatin saddle. Also for us walkers. And thanks for info!

On Sunday it was like this... up to the last ascent to Bogatin saddle nice trodden trail (ski track) only on last slope a bit harder (half trodden) otherwise OK

Super! Thanks for answers! Daam how long did it take from Komna to Bogatin saddle? You went probably with touring skis?

Good track was also to Krn Lake, "was", because last days wind with snow surely drifted it over, so need to count on that.

No, I was on Komna on Saturday too, with goal: Bogatin. Weather was for angels! Path from hut below Bogatin onwards was tough for walkers. It was possible with skis and snowshoes. Hm, I forgot snowshoes at home , so due to increasingly southern snow, sinking sometimes to knees, I didn't make it to the summit. A little after Bogatinsko sedlo I had to turn back. But still, it was wonderful. Greetings all, Minca

Yes, Minca, that happens too, and you know the goal is only in our heads, not always where the summit is..... we fill soul and body from start to end of path... connection with mountain is everywhere as strong as you are willing to accept it. I believe that with all your climbs you know how to enjoy every moment, so really no matter where that summit is in head:

Minca 23, I remembered words of our mountaineer who once wrote: GOAL IS PATH. Let this hold for you and all on forum. Doesn't matter if you reach certain goal, but that you go, enjoy and fill soul with beauties and silence of our mountains. I think that's goal of every tour. Good luck further, many paths and goals.

LP Lots of talk about the goal. I myself always have the return home as my goal. Everything else is a path with intermediate points

Yes, yes. Everything from the first inhale to the last exhale is one single path. And the journey is tiring. But that doesn't mean it's not beautiful.
