Yesterday, with my better half, we went to Krasji Peak from Pl. Zapleč. Up the path past Snežna jama, down the path past kolujev.

Today at Krasji Peak. Route as already described many times - to the summit past Snežna jama, back past kolujev. Early morning was pleasantly cool, no heat in the sun either. At the summit we met only a local who brought salt for the sheep, then we were alone. On the way back driving through Drežnica, the bells were calling to mass. We preferred to go to Soča nasmeh.

By car to Planina Zaprikraj, then during light snowfall via the right variant to the summit, which was quite windswept. More snow below the treeline, but snow-covered tracks of the predecessor. On the summit the wind was already dominating the ridge, clearing from the west. Returned via the southern path above Kuluji.
At the hunting lodge it was still snowing1

Today Krasji vrh from the south side summer poetry, descent from the north wintery, the path was a bit trampled, one sinks in some places, mainly no problem with dwarf pines, markings well visible. And a couple of pics

Nice. I'm surprised no one secured this beautiful item in pic no. 13.

I agree with you @miri. I was here this summer and this beautiful item is a memorial to the Italian senior artillery sergeant Vincenza Menne, who fell here hit by a grenade (source: prohereditate). The "memorial pillar" is actually in good condition but very unstable and it surprises me that it doesn't topple. It would be a shame if it were damaged.

Hello!

"Memorial pillar" still stands! Yesterday there was the traditional "St. Nicholas hike" with massive participation of old, young and kids, mountaineering clubs from home and abroad. Drežničani treated us all with tea, wine and excellent pašta!

Best regards and safe in the mountains!

Memorial pillar about 15 years ago. On pic 13 of user @sedromeo it looks quite tilted.
at that time it stood completely upright1

The pillar is quite tilted only on the pic, because of @sedromeo's artistic shootingnasmeh

Posting again regarding the pillar. Really, someone from the authorities should check what's up with the stability of the upper part of the pillar. As I wrote a few days ago, it's really very wobbly (verified). A bit of construction glue and I think the thing would be fixed or stabilized.

Yesterday's Krasji vrh - magnificent. After ten days of rain and fog still persisting in the valley, the sunbath was truly beneficial.

First snow as expected in the gully below the Koluji-Snežna jama junction, further towards Kolujev dry ground. Snow reappeared above the turn-off for Koluje, but mostly on the path. Towards the summit a bit more whiteness, which by my afternoon descent was already thoroughly softened and soaked.

Past Snežna jama a completely different story. From the start little snow, but nicely frozen. Up to the ruins the approach was easy due to small amount of snow. Then a short but tricky passage that can end in a gully with grenades. Since the midday sun hadn't softened the snow above the gully, crampons held super and I continued walking. Further to the summit frozen and steep. Real winter ascent despite spring temperatures at the top.

My faithful companion is in service, so here are some phone photos. Unfortunately they don't even approximately reflect the beauties my eyes saw.

The Kobarid-Drežnica road is closed until further notice due to landslide remediation from Monday to Friday 8.00-13.00 and 15.00-18.00, on Saturdays 8.00-13.00. On Sundays the road is open.
So I could only wave hello to Krasji vrh from Napoleon's bridge.

They've somehow made the gravel road Trnovo ob Soči - Magozd usable, but I don't believe it's worry-free drivable for modern/low cars.
