KRANJSKA GORA
At 11:32 on the slope of Triglav, below Kredarica, municipality of Kranjska Gora, a mountaineer slipped 200 meters into the depths. Mountain rescuers GRS Mojstrana transported him to the valley with the help of the joint HNMP-GRS team and the SV helicopter crew and then to SB Jesenice.

I really don't know why stubbornly persist with the road closure when forestry activities after the storm are long past. Do idiots who have never been in the hills really decide about this, or can't they even get there??

That's right. First they lure in masses, then boast about above-average visits, soon first problems due to too many tourists surface, in the end they'd rather there were none. But since people get used to money and want more, of course something new has to be charged as soon as possible. Will Mojstrana be quieter? No. Will fewer Slovenian mountaineers show interest in lowland destinations? Yes.

I wouldn't discuss the road, let alone why it's closed; I think such stupid things can only happen here.
I get up soon after five; luckily my wife has a shift, so I have coffee too. After an abundant jam breakfast I soon find myself in the crowd rushing to work. On the 'protected' road through Krma I drive slowly so as not to move any pebble or twig and upset the municipal bosses. Just before half past seven, well packed, I start on the familiar path, since I've been here seriously many times in winter. I knew I wouldn't meet many people, as there were only three cars parked at the parking lot. The first hiker turned back soon above Kamrca, the other two a bit higher. I managed to persuade the latter that it would be easier ahead; luckily they listened to me and thanked me for it later in the hut. At the hut and a bit below it there was strong drifting and blowing snow, so there is no picture from in front of it, I didn't sit on the lovers' bench either, but rushed a bit lower, where there was a fantastic winter idyll. Due to trampling the whole slope in the upper part, the ascent took me almost four hours.

I think many reached the top, true some traverses looked risky with skis (before pic 13)
