I was training today on Kriška gora. I didn't go to Tolsti vrh but from Kriška gora Hut it looked like only patches of snow left on Tolsti vrh. Kriška gora is 100% dry. So just hit the trail.

Checked yesterday: no snow on Tolsti vrh actually - just a few patches below the summit.
They were also picking wild garlic.

This morning on Kriška gora, steep up then gentle down, wanted Tolsti vrh too but weather crossed plans, hut was closed today, so stamp next time. Path nice and without peculiarities.. lp

This morning I went from Tržič to Kriška gora, continued the path to Tolsti vrh and Dom pod Storžičem. The path is nicely passable..... nice hike, but not many hikers choose this path as on the way to Kriška gora I met only one runner.
To Dom pod Storžičem not even that but birds and sunshine keep me company....

The icy part of the trail is from picture 7 to the hut, that is the last part of the trail.

@pelican Where do you see that you hop to Kriška in the afternoon. We decided to visit very early. In some places in Slovenia it was already raining lightly in the morning, but the mud didn't bother us at all. For higher snow, gaiters came in handy, later also crampons, at least for those who had them. If there won't be too much snow in higher areas in the future, it won't be long before we see spring flowers-crocuses that are eager to peek out on the mountain. From memory I tell you, there will be plenty of these flowers everywhere, enough to look at and pick a little less, for a small vase at home on the table! Be patient and as soon as possible "forget" the visit to Kriška and all the slightly worse conditions you experienced on Saturday during its visit. LP

Usually I don't feel like making long descriptions and outlines, so I briefly explain the conditions on the trail, maybe the info is useful to someone, it often is to me if someone writes something, perhaps highlights some detail, etc. Mud baths are plentiful everywhere in the bushes at this time, but that doesn't deter me from walking . Ice is highlighted so maybe someone takes crampons, since we didn't have them, they would have been useful for us .
Such short hikes are possible at any time of day, depending on the individual and time, of course .
