Has anyone gone to Tolsti vrh from Gozd via Ježa and then to Kriška gora these days?

This morning there were no tracks yet. Also from the summit towards Kriški Tolsti it does not look trodden. Plus, strong wind is making drifts.

Through Ježa it's already almost dry. The ridge is another story, conditions are much more wintery. From the hut down (or towards the hut) ski tracks on the path. Well, at least last weekend it was like that. I assume this week they've been happily clearing snow.

Bojan, again a report that creates amazement and praise. Really lots of elevation gained in tough conditions. Lots of luck and nice moments to the Elbrus expedition!

Today from Gozd over Ježa to Tolsti vrh and along the ridge to Kriška gora and descent to Gozd. Morning still frozen, towards noon it softens. Didn't need crampons, although lots of snow on the ridge still. Path well trodden. (captions under pics shifted by one pic cool

Last 50m ascent from Gojzda to Kriška gora I treat as one of the most annoying paths in all KSA. In summer even more velik nasmeh

If [doing the] descent on foot, I would want crampons. So. If I even have the right to complain.

Today via sheep path to Kriška gora and from there to Tolsti vrh. Still some snow in between, but no sinking. Back down via Ježa.

The parking lot at the little church in Gozd is always full.

On the so-called Ovčja pot upwards it is unmarked.

The rest point of Gorenske mornarice is unfortunately abandoned.

Below the path a large flock of sheep is grazing.

After twenty minutes from the first flock I encounter a new flock of sheep. I think they were all marked with a blue line.

At the ridgelet dressed in yellow-bright green fescues.

Snowy section of the path - does not sink in.

Back down to the start and then over Ježa.

I confirm there's very little snow between Kriška gora and Tolsti vrh. I went on Saturday without any problem in trail shoes.

Today afternoon from Golnik to Tolsti vrh via Ježa and back via Kriška gora. Barely any snow, starts 200m below Tolsti vrh, just enough to slide a bit. Does anyone know what happened to the hut-signpost on top?

On Tolsti vrh there is now an ordinary signpost.

The hut-signpost was damaged by lightning strike some time ago.

From Gozd over Ježa to Tolsti vrh and past the hut on Kriška gora to the starting point. Path mostly dry and firm, only towards the summit and first part of the path to Kriška gora snowy with icy sections - crampons needed. Otherwise wonderful views today and really warm for December...

No special features. A little below the summit of Kriška there are about 50 m of little snow on the path, but it doesn't affect ascent or descent.

From Tržič to Kriška gora the path is completely unproblematic.

A little before Koča na Kriški gori I found black sunglasses. They are waiting for the owner in the hut.

Today from Gozd through Ježa to Tolsti vrh and along the ridge to Kriška gora. To Tolsti vrh path without issues, on the ridge quite icy on some sections. Nice weather, no wind with great views.
