Snow is only left on the glacier, so 2-3 turns can still be found

Hm, is it that bad  , that already in June snow is only in the cirque at approx. 2000m? And on the flat 5 min from the hut there's none left anymore? Thanks for the reply.

The plan was a bit different, but I soon realized that its execution would properly "fry" us. So we start via Slovenska towards Ledine and at the top of Žrela head straight into the gully (locally II.), which leads high under the wall of Trikot, i.e., entrances to other routes of Dolgi hrbet. We look around a bit, recall memories from youth and head over the scree, where the glacier once ruled, towards Jezersko saddle. Of course we have to go to Savinjsko saddle, peek to the Styrian side and then back and to Ledinski vrh. Descent back to the hut and down the hunting path to the valley.

Today long-awaited visit to Ledinski vrh. Morning start at 7 from parking (oh, I messed up and parked in front of Dava Karničar Mountain Center), oh well, just a few more minutes walk. Quite a cold Jezersko morning awaited me, but by the cargo cableway the body warms up just right .
To Ledine via hunting path, which at the start is marked as easy (OMG what is then difficult by such classification). If I compare it to the path over Komarča the latter is not much harder, yet it's a demanding path.
Anyway, the path is secured where needed, looks recently repaired, upper 2 cables are new, but obviously water sometimes erodes the path partly. Since the path runs on S slopes no heat on the way.
Completely different scene from Ledine to Ledinski vrh. Sun all the time, but since the time was still early it didn't bother. Path ahead very very nice, only harder spot nicely secured with cable, views on the path itself, on the summit even more, and wonderful . Rinka and Skuta like on the palm
On return at Ledine I run into a nun in full gear, she headed towards Češka koča (hope she didn't go with wings and low boots through the gully  ).
Descent from Ledine sometimes quite annoying due to scree on rocks, otherwise partly hunting path then directly to the car (turnoff to Dava Karničar Mountain Center is marked, nice path fully marked).

During Saturday's ascent to Triglav summit we left the younger son at home with promise that on Monday his somewhat less demanding tour would be his turn. A real father wouldn't be a father if he didn't fulfill the promise.
We started at the new parking under the cargo cableway that goes to Češka koča. There up we went on a nicely laid path, which after initial steepness in the forest towards the hut almost levels out. We continued on a quite more demanding path towards Kranjska hut at Ledine. We crossed two torrent gullies, where obviously harsh mountain conditions rule, as there are many signs of frequent avalanches, falling rocks and raging torrents. With considerable anxiety in heart we carefully, otherwise on well secured path, crossed those two gullies. To Ledinski vrh, where cold wind refreshed us, the path caused no more problems. For return the hut keeper at Ledine recommended the renovated hunting path. We didn't regret it as this path although very steeply descending to the valley is really nicely made with various ledges and steps, and also protections enough where needed.
Son was of course very satisfied with the chosen path, so why wouldn't we be too.

Since we didn't feel like getting up early today, we decided to visit Češka koča. We went along the path past Štularjeva planina, which at the start is no longer marked with signs and there, by the new arrangement, parking is no longer allowed. At Češka koča we soon decided to continue towards Ledine over Žrelo, which is well secured. At Ledine we again couldn't decide to return to the valley, so we also climbed to Ledinski vrh. At the hut on Ledine we were surprised by the closed tap, where water was still running last year. We returned via the Slovenian route. On the way to the car we noticed they are trying to arrange a single starting point for the peaks near Češka koča and the hut on Ledine. The mentioned parking lot is located about 600 m before the cargo cableway, where parking is no longer allowed.

Can anyone tell me how the path through Žrelo compares to Hanzova on Mala Mojstrovka? Because I have some fear of heights, I prefer if the path isn't too exposed or that where it's exposed it's secured so I can clip in . Hanzova didn't cause me problems.

Compared to Hanzova it's shorter and much less exposed.
If Hanzova didn't cause you problems then you don't have fear of heights.

Today, on the way from Storžek, a quick jump also to Ledinski vrh via Savinjsko and Jezersko saddle. The summit was quite well visited today, some people noticed also on Velika Baba, on Storžek only two of us. Pretty nice day given the forecast, the path bare and dry from Savinjsko saddle to Jezersko saddle needs to cross snowfield twice, snow soft without special dangers. But in the wider area Rinka, Skuta, Kočna there is still quite some snow patches. Path from Belska Kočna quite interesting and worth a visit.

Robter, thanks for the info. Hanzova didn't give me any trouble because there are cables on all exposed parts. That calms my fear.

I'd rather suggest that you go up via Slovenska - it's nicely secured and friendlier than Žrelo, where lately a lot of stones are falling down and there are some small snowfields on the path. For descent also Slovenska or the newly arranged hunting path. As for Hanzova, all three paths are much easier and less exposed than Hanzova to Mala Mojstrovka (I assume).

Thanks Domch. Yes, Slovenska/Hunting is one option. But if I wanted to go past Češka koča, then to the start of Slovenska it's quite far in my opinion. I wouldn't go yet now, so snowfields will probably have melted by then .

Last weekend I did the path up Slovenska, back the same to the junction for Češka koča to "avoid" Žrelo.
Some went through Žrelo, it's true there's lots of scree on the path and I doubt a helmet is enough if something solid flies from above.
