Enka did you go from Češka to Ledine through Žrelo???
Has it calmed down there, because for some time it was even closed due to falling rocks zadrega

No, Žrelo is still closed (I noted it by the picture). I went directly to Ledine via Slovenska, down via Lovska.

Because I haven't hiked in this mountain range yet, unfortunately I don't know the names of peaks, paths etc. from the pictures best, so anyone can gladly correct me mežikanje

Pero 24. On most photos you have Planjava (pics 1,2,3,5,6,8,16,18,19) with Ojstrica (1,18,19) and Kamniško sedlo (2,3,5,6,8,16,18,19), to which Brana occasionally joins (2,3,6) and part of Turska gora (3).
In the mountains it's even much nicer if we know where we are and what we're looking at mežikanje

Also today similar weather on Ledinski vrh as two days ago. A bit of fog and sunshine...
Pastirska pot above Rinka is newly marked. nasmeh

Today the ascent to Ledinski vrh was spiced by the first snow of the year.
Start in Ravenska Kočna and via Slovenska to Ledine, where I arrived already quite wet. jezen

Continued to Jezersko sedlo and to Ledinski vrh. Snow started at about 1800m and there was about 5cm on the summit. Descended to Belsko Kočna then up to Jenkova planina, past Davo to the car.
Nice, wet... very wet day. nasmeh

The path through Žrelo is still closed....until next year

It's already snowing towards Savinjsko sedlo

Completely useless fixed cable on the ridge

Path continuation....unpleasant in the wet

If I could choose the view from the living room... well, that's it!

Today to Ledinski vrh from Jezersko. Morning quite cold, but you chase it away with additives and go. Snow starts at the end of the scree at the entrance to the wall. I went via Lovska path. To the hut without crampons, from there on I put them on although it would have been possible without (skiers behind me all went without). Fallen about 10 to 15 cm snow, just enough to nicely cover all traces from previous days. No deep sinking except in places with wind-blown snow. Weather wonderful, no wind and just right cold around zero. On summit rest more than one hour, then slowly back. Snow doesn't let up so conditions excellent also on return. Due to frozen snow I kept crampons on almost to the scree. Lp Miro

The ice axe is original, you don't see those anymore, so take good care of it nasmeh

Thanks to both. The ice axe is really over 70 years old. The wood is still original just a bit shortened. It belonged to my late uncle from Kamnik who died in 1945, then my father had it. It was with me a few years ago on the top of Elbrus.

Nice ice axe, probably Werkgen Fulpmes. I have one too, they made those models roughly between 1920-1940

2.7. on Ledinski vrh. On return under Savinjsko sedlo snow patch 20x200 m, where we proved that snow angels are made even in summer.

Today via Slovenian climbing path to Koča na Ledinah and on to Jezersko sedlo and Ledinski Peak. We descended the hunter's path. Žrelo will be closed this weekend too, when the complete reconstruction of protections finishes. The guys were already working diligently early today.

Winter fairytale...
Yesterday dad and I headed to Ravenska Kočna. Already at parking we saw warning that path to Češka koča is closed. Unfortunately no date on the note, so don't know if forgotten or still valid. So we skipped original tour and turned to Kranjska koča. Wanted path through gorge, but from below no branch or marks to climbing start, though I hiked it before when closed. So took Slovenian path. From Kranjska koča on path under snow or ice at start. To Jezersko sedlo in shade, snow hard. From saddle to Ledinski Peak snow sinking. About 25-30cm from saddle on. Views fantastic. Valley not much due to 'clouds' but sweetened the tour more. Down through gorge. Path through gorge well secured, branch clear top to bottom. Bottom same issue, no marked path from gorge exit to Slovenian approach.
On ascent saw in snow paws of some big animal. Paw size like our 30kg dog, print similar. Trail clear 'leading' us mid-path to Jezersko sedlo and on to Savinjsko sedlo. Now wondering with dad which animal makes such big tracks. Since first that day (or days) no other shoe prints, so suspect not dog.

Today from Ravenska Kočna through Žrelo and past Kranjska koča to Ledinski Peak. Then some descents and ascent to Velika Baba and continuation along ridge to Jenkova planina.
New path through Žrelo excellently secured, but upper part quite demanding (more than old one before). No snow on path anymore.

The new one replaced the destroyed one. Today they also changed the cableway cable.

The path runs continuously along the left side and not the right, as before.

But in this part it is quite demanding...

Ledinski vrh, behind Baba awaits me...hm

We headed for Rinke, but at about 2200m conditions too demanding so descended and went to Ledinski Peak. Despite crampons and ice axe path not safe for us. Started from Ravenska Kočna through Žrelo to Kranjska koča. Towards Rinke above natural window decided to bail. On Ledinski Peak nice, no wind yet. From koča na Ledinah down the Slovenian. Installing new "cables" for cargo cableway to Kranjska koča.
