One is agreeing with cross, star, shrine or whatever. Another is respect. And people here obviously lack quite a bit of it.

Now we're going to the other extreme! I think we shouldn't delete everything indiscriminately either. I claim I wrote nothing that needed deleting. Judge: 1. Post "Goodness, how different people are. But on no peak do I see a cross, nor anything else. When all sweaty and panting I arrive (crawl - climb) to the top, I see and hear nothing, nor does anything bother me. I feel immense satisfaction and despite tiredness I am full of positive energy that never and nowhere envelops me like on the top. I am a strict atheist, but precisely due to love and respect for mountains nothing on the top bothers me. 2. Post "Of course it makes sense (portal hribi)! Absolutely! Despite everything, the majority on it are still well-meaning, positive people; I'm afraid to think that it wouldn't be there anymore. 3. Post "MANGRT or what, are you keeping statistics on how many times you've already been to the namesake? I'm really curious! "

Instead of all pouncing on what someone did where, exemplary mountaineers could warn him about it. Namely, that's your duty, since you're all so well brought up. Scolding a person achieves nothing. https://www.pzs.si/novice.php?pid=4576

This debate fits exactly here! I have a proposal. Let PZS "prohibit" (I know it has no legal power for a real ban, but still) placing any decorations on mountain tops (and painting or anything similar), except for logbooks and other officially sanctioned aids. Everything that's already up there, let it stay in peace. (I don't know, maybe PZS has already adopted something similar, it would be logical anyway. It would be good to enforce this more seriously, if possible, even by law.) What someone does is between them and their conscience (or faith).

Hello. The only thing that bothers me on summits are stickers from various PDs not only here but also abroad, which some stick on "crosses and various pillars and logbooks" and unfortunately increasing intolerance. I think this doesn't belong on this portal, let alone in the mountains. And many more nice hikes. Best regards Tomaž

Oh, I apologize! I really misunderstood the message. I thought we would all be deleted in 24 hours. I wanted to calm passions and tried to write conciliatorily and it seems in great excitement I lost my judgment.

There are also other crosses in the mountains that bother no one. That's the cross with alcohol

michael66, I agree...especially in huts they should simply ban selling it. Because if anything is at odds with common sense it's serving alcohol in mountains, some things just don't go together. Whoever is in such abstinence crisis that must drink alcohol even in mountains, could think about it...

On Krnčica they put up a cross a few years ago. In memory of all those soldiers who suffered here and fell under gunfire or froze in winters. We were on this mountain twice this year. When you reach the top thoughts carry you to that turbulent time when war horrors happened. And perhaps someone, believer or not, prays for them or bows silently to all who were born in the wrong time. And think that we are given a much nicer life despite the trials we go through.

iron and other junk belong in the steelworks, to the dump or on the balcony for fencing, definitely not on any summit of our mountains. I find such behavior extremely biased, perverted and imposing. I go to the summit for myself, not for symbolism - whatever it is, which I happily leave in the valley. Let's keep the mountains CLEAN!
