Saturday Storžič: http://kajadebersek.blogspot.com/2014/05/sprehod-na-storzic.html
Apparently there is some snow now, on Saturday the path was completely dry.

EDIT: Controversial photo removed from the blog, I apologize to all who were bothered by it.

I don't know if it's posing on the cross or mežikanje maybe, yeah... a sign of some higher level of spiritual awareness - culture. Or from the approach side and the photo author on Storžič zavijanje z očmi some new-age ,,artistic mountaineering installation,,.

I hope the first picture is a photomontage. If not, the Kališčarji will skin you alive.
I would quickly remove that picture.

I see no difference if one climbs Aljaž tower on Triglav or a cross. Goodbye brains.

Common sense can replace almost any level of education, but no level of education can replace common sense.

The answer is extremely stupid and cynically biting...In that there's another level,, that this is no science, about the desire for two more meters that represent absolutely nothing but sheer half-presumptuousness is a reflection of impatient arrogance, it could also be a partisan monument or a tower similar to Aljaž's...and also to the people who realized the idea. I wouldn't say it's some youthful folly of 15-17 years who don't know exactly what they're doing, but two somewhere between 20 and 25 could be more predictably correctly balanced...

I condemn such presumptuousness...Kaja's answer says everything about her "maturity". I would sink into the ground out of shame if I thought like that zavijanje z očmi

Some things belong in the mountains and some don't. Everyone has to talk to themselves where their "personal" boundaries are and where the "moral" ones are. But I suggest to Kaja, if not for other reasons (I hope more for other than not), to remove the picture from the web, unless it's no problem for her to be lighter by a euro or two. You never know what stupidity can lead to some fine. An example of that was recently discussed on our forums too. And best regards

I'm wondering who puts those kitschy artworks on the tops of our beautiful mountains?

you always find some less known ones here above to criticize. if you ever said some positive praise here above on nice hikes. of course you won't, because you're waiting for someone to climb a cross so you can hit him. looks just like you're jealous.

The cross has no business up on the summits. It's not a symbol of uniting but of separating.

I'm not advocating rowdiness with this. In this case it was just typical youthful exuberance. No harm done at all.

If anyone was religiously offended by this - let them follow their "savior".

If we're honest with ourselves we must admit that just hiking to Storžič does much more damage and no one beats their head, than if someone climbs one cross and there's a whole fuss about it.

Crosses really have nothing in common with mountains (or do they), even less that they depict holy Jesus with them, his suffering on the cross. Religious Christian fanatics in their faith advocate and intimidate the masses that one must repent and suffer to get closer to him, they flog themselves, nail to crosses, in churches repeat at masses the importance of crucifixion, they are all mistakenly embittered by that etc. According to the holy mother's speech, Jesus himself already took care of that when they crucified him (we don't need to anymore, because He did His work for us), with that he opened the center of consciousness that enables forgiveness, since without it we cannot enter God's kingdom. It was then a subtle divine play of forgiveness ability, that Jesus let himself be crucified (opened new consciousness to humanity for reconciliation), evil without wisdom just wanted to destroy him then. For curiosity, the first cross as an amulet was found quite some time before Jesus, which was then a symbol of light or eternal life.
Jesus himself as God's son had the task in the world to show with his divinely fulfilled righteous life that we humans are much more than just that. He wanted to show us our universal nature, how the world should function in harmony with the creator, above all to show us the power of forgiveness, as one virtue that helps us annihilate our ego and pass to higher spiritual states without conflicts. All that the church falsified with misunderstanding the original positive message of God's son's incarnation, so that people surrender to it as the only credible Christian institution and seek salvation only there. Because of that, since people mainly confess there, negative energy remains in those places, so visiting such spaces is discouraged for us yogis, also places of wrong yogic associations e.g. new Maharishi, Sai Baba - only the one from Shirdi was true guru incarnation of supreme god.
Every human has Jesus in himself, his unshakable spiritual temple, just needs to open it and identify with it, draw positive divine light from it. Savior and judge is indeed our own pure spirit - atma, which guides us and shows the path to God. We are microcosm, copy of universal God, with all elements, only we cannot create cosmos, through spiritual development we can feel a glimpse of His greatness.

respect. things, people. different. but insolence over everything that is not to my liking. in such a case, goodbye to our heritage. but some are already diligently destroying it. be it a cross or morbegna or partisan monument. let them remain for descendants, so they see what a divided nation we /hopefully/ were.

This Slovenian egalitarianism....she climbed the cross, now you'll nail her up there as punishment? I notice some hikers are extremely unoriginal and oppose everything new, different. You most like to walk the most famous paths (to Triglav with brass band is my favorite) towards hectoliters of cheap beer and food in huts, diesel phalanxes in the heart of valleys and higher up you have nothing against... Tireless advocates of nature preservation... God forbid someone invents some different way of moving in mountains or climbs say on a cross (even though it causes no additional burden on nature or damage). Immediately to PZS and legislate ban! Why aren't you so consistent yourselves and remove yourselves from nature, it's obvious that we humans in any form are a disturbance in it.
