Congratulations on conquering the highest peak of the Alps. I hope you go again next year. But before that, of course Votli vrh, as you mentioned.

@lijaneja: if you get vacation, of course, we'll go again, but we'll do it a bit differently, bypassing that commercial stuff with guides ...
@urarrr: the little train goes to Nid d'Aigle, but you have to watch the timetable, because the last one down is at 7 pm, if you want to catch the cable car you have to be on the train at 4, a bit stupid but that's how it is, if you miss it there's a problem with descent to Les Houches ...

Best is by car to Saint Gervais, then by train from there. You're not tied to the cable car.
Nice tour you did, Marijan. In quite difficult conditions.

yes, that's a better and safer option for descent ... mežikanje
French arrogance: the train goes down at 17:50, to Bellevue takes 20 min, so arrives at Bellevue at 18:10, you need another 5 min to cable car station, 18:15 you're there, but last cable car goes down at 18:00 ??? Crazy, right? And that lady at the ticket counter says, be careful not to miss the 16:10 train down, because with the next one you won't catch the cable car ... who would do that in Dolomites or Julian Alps, Italians or Slovenes would make a revolution ...

Congratulations, jedriličar, for the conquered summit. After viewing your photos I relived the year '99, when I did the same route myself with two colleagues. Only at the beginning we chose the cog railway from Saint Gervais.

On Thursday morning we take the cog railway from La Fayet to 2372 Le Nid D"agile where we start hiking to the Aiguille du Gouter hut. The passage through the couloir was closed 2x this summer by municipal order and just the day before they opened it due to landslides. We overnight in the nicely arranged hut and head to the summit still at night. Nice to observe in the clear night many ascending along the string of lights and await sunrise just before the summit. We were at the top of Mont Blanc a bit after 7am and after a half-hour rest, enjoying views and also the cold, we head back. Only on descent do you soak up all the beauties of this mountain and surroundings...

Congratulations!

Just one correction...Mont Blanc is not the highest peak in Europe, that's Elbrus.

mukica, wonderful photos and accompanying comments. I would also congratulate you for the conquered highest peak of Europe, but Trobec overtook me with the correction. So let the congratulation stand for the second highest peak of Europe. Good luck!
