Yes, many PDs organize ascents to Mont Blanc. Inquire and follow the announcements, that way you'll get through quite cheaply, you'll have everything guaranteed from organization, company to transport and accommodation. And you'll almost certainly stand on the summit. Just need lots of fitness...

On Saturday afternoon, we took the gondola from Chamonix to Aiguille du Midi 3842m, descended to the col and climbed to Cosmiques hut 3613m, where we overnighted.
On Sunday breakfast at 3:00, ascent at 4:00 via Tacul, Maudite to Blanc.
The ascent was quite demanding due to thin air, crossing dangerous slopes, seracs and ice gully which was passable, but no severe crevasses.
Unforgettable company and socializing.

On Sunday all four of us mountaineers reached the summit of Mont Blanc. More in the extensive report. Hope the route description comes in handy for someone.

Probably it would be good to correct in the first paragraph of the blog that on average 100 die on the entire Mont Blanc massif and not on Mont Blanc mountain itself, most deaths are there though.

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain of the Alps, the highest mountain of Europe is Elbrus. Congratulations, I relived the ascent 31 years ago with three friends a bit. Lp!

Elbrus isn't necessarily the highest mountain. Depends where you put the border between Europe and Asia, there are several theories for that. Lp

Congratulations. Unlike us, you had super weather. 3.8 was a super forecast that turned into fog and wind around 100 km/h from the Bremva saddle upwards. But we did a traverse from Cosmiques to the cogwheel railway. Sorry for the crappy weather. Congratulations once more.
